WHAT YOU'LL DO AT GENMARK!
The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for creating strategic and tactical marketing plans to drive continued growth in existing and new markets.
Critical factors to success include:
Perform market research and gather customer feedback in order to define, prioritize and develop corresponding justifications for market requirements of new products
Support the product development organization by representing the voice of the customer throughout the entire life cycle of the product
Cultivate and maintain relationships with KOLs, corporate partners, VIP customers and professional societies that drive test adoption and product endorsements
Responsible for product lifecycle management for all existing product lines assigned; including tracking success and managing resolution of issues
Lead the organization of and support the definition of alpha and beta studies associated with developmental stage products
Develop and implement product launch plans including sales training, positioning, competition, sales tools, pricing, etc.
Serve as the company expert with respect to our competition for the assigned product areas and ensure real-time communication of updates to the field, senior management and customer support organizations
Develop and recommend pricing strategies for each product which meet the revenue and profitability goals of the company
Participate in the company strategic planning and annual planning/budgeting process
Participate in shaping the development of the marketing department and manage direct reports as assigned
Support the sales organization and customers by providing information about products, technology, or other issues requiring Marketing input or assistance
Bachelor's degree Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related Life Science field
MBA or advanced technical degree (MS, PhD) preferred
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in commercial roles within clinical diagnostics (eight years preferred)
International experience is preferred
Direct selling experience preferred
Experience managing people preferred
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in marketing molecular diagnostics products preferred
Solid quantitative analytical skills as they relate to conducting market analysis and market research, establishing product strategies, working with product development teams, forecasting and pricing
Demonstrated success in defining and launching new products
Proven experience with developing sales support materials and tools for product commercialization
Effective analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, scientific journals, and package inserts
Experience working in an FDA regulated environment is preferable
Advanced computer skills working with Excel and PowerPoint, proficient in entire MS Office Suite
