The Amazon Canada Shopping and Seller Experience (CSSX) team is looking for a bold, articulate, and detail-oriented Sr. Product Manager to define and execute products that improve the customer experience across our Fashion categories (including Apparel, Shoes, Jewelry, and Watches). In this role you will have an opportunity to work with one of Amazon's newest and fastest growing marketplaces to delight customers and innovate new online fashion experiences. You will have an opportunity to influence and partner with business, operations, and technology teams across the business to drive initiatives to improve customer shopping experience while providing efficiency and scale through automation.
Product Managers (PM) work with cross-functional teams to drive adoption, troubleshoot, analyze performance, and determine the future state or initiatives within our organization. They play a pivotal role in defining product requirements, go-to-market strategy, and tirelessly champion the needs of customers. PMs work with customers, partners, software vendors, and operational stakeholders to prioritize roadmap features, and spearhead the definition of new capabilities through business requirements documents. PMs must be able to roll up their sleeves to deliver high-impact quickly while simultaneously charting out long term, scalable, automated solutions. Additionally, PMs are able to analyze new business opportunities, build strong relationships, drive significant top and bottom line results, and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment.
As a Product Manager on the Canada team, you will have ownership and responsibility for the full product cycle including product strategy, prioritization, development (supported by dedicated SDE), testing, and adoption. You will work closely with business leaders, tech teams, operations, and other stakeholders from around the world. A successful candidate will excel in cross-functional team work, thrive in bringing new product features to market, and enjoy making needle-moving impact. Our candidate will also be highly resourceful, customer obsessed, and will have an ability to think and act both strategically and tactically, and work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a breadth and depth of knowledge in the following areas:
You have a strong product or program management background and have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects.
A proven history of garnering support from other teams and system owners to identify new opportunities, gain consensus/resources for projects, and representing Canadian customers across central teams.
You will be comfortable challenging assumptions, estimates, and approaches; pushing our supporting teams to deliver quicker, cheaper, and higher quality product for our customers.
Core responsibilities will include:
Responsibility for the full product lifecycle: Identifying opportunities (writing PR/FAQs), prioritize competing projects (OP1/roadmap planning), securing development resources from central teams, leveraging our internal developers where support is unavailable, and iterating with product management, development and retail teams across Amazon Canada and Mexico to bring your product to market.
2+ years of relevant work experience in Product/Program/Project Management with a proven history of owning projects from ideation to launch
Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership, strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Demonstrated leadership in driving cross-functional teams
Sound business judgment, strong analytical thinking and technical skills, and the ability to influence others driving clear results
Ability to analyze and propose data-driven solutions
Strong product management experience from a tech company
Strong analytical skills including SQL and advanced Excel, including the ability to pull data and use to identify and solve ambiguous problems
