Sr Product Development Technician (Ecp)

Abiomed, part of Johnson & Johnson MedTech, is recruiting for a Sr. Product Development Technician located in Danvers, MA.As a Sr. Product Development Technician you will support innovation of Abiomed's next generation of innovative heart pumps and accessories by supporting complex engineering activities, including performing product testing and fabricating engineering prototypes. You will work in a dynamic fast paced environment that is disrupting the medical device industry by bringing breakthrough technologies to market. This role focuses on the Impella ECP or "Expandable Cardiac Power". The Impella ECP is Abiomed's smallest heart pump that does not compromise on flow by utilizing unique expanding pump technology

Principle Duties and Responsibilities :

• Setup, execute, and document product performance testing

• With guidance, analyze product performance data to draw conclusions

• Develop, fabricate, and support the continuous improvement of test fixtures and procedures.

• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment

• Work alongside engineers to complete complex failure analysis

• Fabricate engineering prototypes by following modified work instructions of existing product lines
