What You Will Love About This Job:

As a Principal Product Designer UX/UI for our Dell Digital team, you will be applying your proven track record of helping conceive, define and execute user experiences across web and mobile products, and collaborating with other designers, developers, researchers, architects, and business stakeholders.

You will draw upon your deep understanding of Human-Centered Design and how to deliver solutions that bring measurable results. You'll build upon your portfolio that shows you've worked on a range of challenging projects across all steps of the human centered UX design process:

  • research
  • prototyping
  • aesthetics

You will be part of our Dell Digital team of passionate technologists and innovators transforming, building and delivering a modern, global, cloud-based, omni-channel commerce platform in an agile way (using the Pivotal Software balanced team methodology). Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and execute global creative solutions for a variety of digital experiences

  • Interactive design projects that meet both user and business objectives, while maintaining and supporting brand standards

  • Evolve and evangelize our Design Language and System

  • Practice and facilitate Human-Centered Design (Design Thinking) methodologies

  • Guide and mentor more junior designers

Qualifications:
12 years of related professional experience with a Bachelor's degree (or 8 years with a Master's, or 5 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience).

Experience to include:

  • Full understanding and experience across the entire User Centered Design process (Human centered design)

  • An eye for design in general, and understand and implement key principles of UX design

  • Experience delivering these standard UX Design artifacts: Site maps, Process flows, Personas, Use Cases, Concept models, Wireframes, Design comps, Interactive prototypes

  • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity, with a passion for the challenges around organizing it

  • Experience working in Agile and Lean UX

  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to work within pre-defined processes

  • Strong proficiency with MS Visio, Adobe Creative Suite and/or other wireframing and prototyping tools

  • Resourcefulness, dependability, pro-activeness

  • Good understanding of typography, grids, visual layout, and design systems

  • Understanding of HTML/CSS code, methodologies, and the technology and platforms that support UX design

  • An online portfolio demonstrating a strong design foundation with relevant examples of design concepts, deliverables, and process

Preferences:

  • User research experience in technical domains

  • Experience creating Design Systems, frameworks, or other Design-at-scale initiatives

  • Experience designing for eCommerce platforms and applications

  • Experience designing AR-driven, voice-enabled, or IoT experiences

What You Will Love About This Job: As ourDigital Tools -- E-Business Consultant, Customer Experience Management you will identify, recommend and implement the future architectural and technical direction for Digital Customer Experience Management needs at Dell. Key Responsibilities: * Tool Administration: You will provide Digital Customer Experience Administration Support for the existing on-premise Tealeaf tool installed in our datacenters. This includes system maintenance, upgrades, fix-packs. * Manage Integrations: We have an extremely mature implementation of Tealeaf and there are integrations with many other tools: iPerceptions, OpinionLab and others. We also leverage the CX Connect feature extensively to send data to other tools, such as Adobe DataWorkbench, Tableau, Splunk, Hadoop, ServiceNow, etc * Diagnostics: We have approximately 3000 events and 1000 users of Tealeaf. With a constantly changing website, it is imperative that we continue to work with developers to ensure high fidelity data collection. This person must have deep knowledge of how requests are made from browsers and how the servers respond to diagnose issues with the data. * Architecture: Dell makes use of multiple content management systems to optimize the customer experience for a variety of website use cases: Consumer, Small/Medium Businesses, Large Corporations, eSupport and Deals. We work in an agile environment, using Single-Page Applications, Angular and other techniques. This will continue to evolve with Cloud-hosted applications, Pivotal Cloud Foundry and others. This person will work with those developers to evaluate architectural options to meet the business requirements for digital Customer Experience Management. * User support: Provide regular deep-dive training (user workshops, etc.) in one or more of our tools to enable the business to understand our data Requirements: Undergraduate degree and 12+ years relevant experience (working in Digital Commerce, online agency, web developer or analytics) or Graduate degree and 8+ years relevant experience; Experience to include: * Tealeaf, OpinionLab, iPerceptions, Clicktale, Glassbox: advanced knowledge and/or experience as an administrator of a Customer Experience Management tools * tcpdump and WireShark network diagnostic tools familiarity * Windows and Linux operating systems administration - heavy, daily hands on experience * Script generation for Windows batch file, powershell and other scripting tools (Python, etc.) * Strong collaboration skills with ability to drive cross-functional IT and Business teams forward and build consensus; Effectively communicate ideas, build relationships and interact well with internal organization business audiences (hypothesis, impact projections, etc.) and project output * Building web pages, HTTP, JavaScript, request/response and Content Management understanding * Digital Commerce and/or High‐level Digital Marketing understanding and experience * Experience researching and articulating technology needs * Ability to work in a fast paced, high growth global environment.
