Job Summary

The Senior Product Manager for Business Card is responsible for leading a cross-function team to launch, develop and evolve a new market-competitive business card product. This Business Card subject matter expert will collaborate to develop innovative operational, technical and marketing solutions to drive profitable growth.

Through a deep understanding of the product, customer, competition and market, this leader will apply this expertise to define and champion product strategy designed to meet business, brand and customer needs, as well as optimize the quality, performance and financial growth of the Business Card product portfolio. This includes producing and supporting the execution of a strategic roadmap of product enhancements and capabilities that sustain or improve product performance over time.

Importantly, this leader will play a key role in managing relationships (and accountability) with major service providers that provide acquisition and processing for Business Card.

Reports to Director level or higher Essential Job Functions

Product Growth Strategy

  • Develop and design product strategy and business plans to effectively position and differentiate Business Card in the market

  • Partner with vertical leaders, credit risk, finance and marketing to develop product strategies that support acquisition and spend objectives

  • Support Sales to grow the pipeline and win new business

  • Develop and champion a long-term vision for the product in line with enterprise-wide strategic objectives

Financial Leadership

  • Partner with Finance to further develop and manage the Business Card P&L. Proactively identify opportunities to improve profitability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners e.g. Client Partnerships, Credit Risk, Sales, Fraud, Care Center to implement strategies and tactics that drive P&L performance

  • Monitor and manage service provider expenses; partner with Senior Leadership to identify and implement OpEx and CapEx efficiencies.

Product Roadmap

  • Develop robust capability roadmap to future proof and enhance the competitiveness of the Business Card product.

  • Manage and strengthen overall performance of current product features and capabilities, and oversees development of new solutions.

  • Drive prioritization of product and capabilities solutions, ensuring through business case ad market opportunity assessments, clear requirements and standardizes process to brings solutions to market successfully.

  • In partnership with Capability owners, maintain oversight of select existing capabilities; analyzing problems and reporting status of the capability and recommendations whether to maintain, enhance or retire as needed.

  • Identify and communicate best practices and product playbook to ensure consistency of strategy, approach, implementation and management.


Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field. OR equivalent education and/or work experience. Master's Degree is preferred.

Work Experience
10 years of experience in a progressively complex product management environment, including P&L management. Experience with business or commercial card highly preferred.
3-5 years of supervisory experience leading a team of individual contributors.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Individual should be skilled in leading strategic programs and initiatives and multiple medium to large scale efforts simultaneously. He/she should have a measureable track record as a change leader with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to succinctly convey information to senior management as expected. This person must be seen as a business leader who has thought leadership, analytical strength, and strong business sensibility. He/she will operate within and across a matrixed business to achieve success.

Normal office environment, some travel may be required.
