Sr. Procurement Specialist - Active Secret - Fort Shafter, HI

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Secret cleared Senior Procurement Specialist to support our government client in Hawaii. This will be a fully remote role.

Responsibilities of the Secret cleared Senior Procurement Specialist include:

• Ensure adherence to updates on the CHESS platform, FAR/DFAR regulations, and industry best practices, while promoting transparency and ethical standards in all procurement activities

• Lead the creation of complex contracts, negotiate terms, and process procurement documents in line with applicable laws, regulations, and established specifications

• Provide technical guidance on contract and purchasing requests, interpret procurement-related laws and regulations, and develop detailed technical procurement specifications and bidding documents

• Assess bid responses, evaluate vendor performance, and identify opportunities for process enhancement to optimize procurement strategies and outcomes

Qualifications of the Secret cleared Senior Procurement Specialist include:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management, coupled with excellent written and oral communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with various stakeholders and the successful management of multiple procurement projects

• Proven experience in procurement for DoD contracts

• In-depth knowledge of DoD and Army-specific laws, regulations, and policies, ensuring compliance in all procurement activities, and demonstrating strong negotiation skills within the defense contracting landscape

• Must possess an Active Secret clearance

Compensation of the Secret cleared Senior Procurement Specialist include:

Salary range: $70,000-85,000/yr depending on experience and education
