Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Systems Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne Florida.
Essential Functions: This is a Deputy lead design Project Engineering position.
Responsibilities to include the Oversight of development, integration and documentation of Laboratory systems, electrical cable designs, Mechanical designs and assemblies for aerospace programs.
Oversee the Development and integration of wiring designs and mechanical designs of functional systems.
Candidate will be responsible to have tasks delivered on time and within budget.
Candidate will be expected to interface and present status presentations with multiple disciplines such as program management, electrical, mechanical, structures, stress, M&P, procurement, subcontractors, and manufacturing.
Familiar with utilizing AutoCAD Electrical, NX Mechanical design tools and Laboratory Infrastructure.
Oversee the Creation of block diagrams, wiring diagrams and detailed assemblies such as cable assemblies, Circuit Breaker assemblies, Relay assemblies etc.
Must be familiar using SAE AS 50881 (Mil-5088), additional MIL specs and proven commercial practices.

Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of flight test experience OR
Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of flight test experience OR
PhD Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 4 years of experience of flight test experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access prior to commencement of employment
Master's Degree in a STEM from an accredited university
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
Experience coordinating and supporting TRR's, FRR's, and SRB's in support of ground and flight test execution
Willingness to assist with additional tasks/projects beyond the defined requirements of this position
Experience with Airworthiness Criteria certification artifact identification and submittal to satisfy MIL-STD-516 requirements
Active Top Secret DoD security clearance
