Job Description

The purpose of this position is to lead the Portfolio Management team and the business operations and planning function for the Travel Network Technology and Travel Network Product teams. This position reports directly to the Director of Portfolio Operations Management and leads a small global team of analysts / Portfolio Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Works closely with Product and Technology leaders to define and drive a portfolio management process, which includes: 1) Overall process definition, points of contact documentation and critical artifacts definition related to annual and multi-year investment planning; 2) Cross-portfolio assessment of investment plans; 3) Corporate and/or business unit level investment recommendations and prioritization based on cross-portfolio assessment and annual budget planning, including process and artifacts required to establish the annual plan of record; 4) Ensuring the plan of record exists, serves as single source for investment roadmaps and is continually refreshed.

  • Measures: Collaborates across functions to define, measure, track and develop action plans for operational and strategic KPIs. Tracks, reports and provides insight on all business metrics.

  • Analysis & Insight: Performs analysis, and summarizes to provide insight on performance, plan, or other key metrics and makes operational recommendations based upon these insights.

  • Governance: Owns the operational and planning elements of the team including prioritizing, calendaring, creation of agendas topics, for portfolio alignment meetings (Product Roadmap updates, Quarterly Planning activities, Go to Market Release Planning, etc)

  • Systems: Leads the defining of business requirements as part of a Sabre core team for new systems/tools and enhancements to existing systems/tools needed to support the business. Leads the TN testing and rollout of new systems/tools and enhancements for internal tools. Acts as a subject matter expert for teams in the use of systems/tools.

  • Process Improvement & Research: Proactive identification of issues via root cause analysis that could impact the successful execution of the team or Senior Vice President's commitments. Actively supports shaping and implementing Sabre Operating Model maturity into day-to-day activities.

  • Presentations & Reporting: Prepares and/or consolidates management presentations, status reports, communications, etc. to communicate financial, delivery, and operational performance to executive leadership, team leadership, and others.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience establishing, or working with, best practices in technology business operations process, product portfolio metrics, business operations, and/or planning.

  • Knowledge and experience in building processes, setting up systems, creating requirement documents and driving change in an organization.

  • Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint & general Microsoft Office Suite experience.

  • Proven ability to quickly and consistently execute standardized processes and enable others to do so as well. Successful track record of ensuring process compliance and driving improvements to standardized processes.

  • Self-directed, resourceful, innovative, and adaptable. Comfortable in a rapidly evolving environment, and skilled in change management.

  • Strong business and financial acumen; self-starter and results-driven

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to see patterns, and consolidate information concisely.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including summarizing information for executive consumption in written, report or presentation medium.

  • Strong ability to influence; and the ability to lead and get work done through others

  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, not afraid to speak-up and provide insight and perspective.

  • Consistently works on complex issues, with complex ideas or situations across scope of responsibility; Able to navigate by having in-depth functional, company and industry knowledge.

  • Ability to work across various geographies and influence key stakeholders, partners, and executive leaders

  • Exceptional ability to juggle multiple critical priorities and spot areas to improve efficiency and effectiveness; Ability to handle sensitive matters

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred. Minimum 10 years related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced computer software skills. Sabre experience preferred. Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously; ability to delegate work to team members.

Job Description Works closely with management in the implementation of corporate policies related to human resources, organizational and employee development at the business unit level. Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, resolves employee relations issues with a systematic approach. Operates in a global environment working with HR counterparts across the globe to develop and drive company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., total rewards, performance management, talent management, workforce planning, and organizational change). Viewed as a strategic business partner, change agent and member of the line management staff. Partners with the business leaders to determine strategic HR initiatives that support business objectives. Provides strategic and operational HR consultation and support to executive and senior management. Develops and delivers customized solutions for critical business needs such as succession planning, leadership development, employee development, culture change efforts. Consults with business leaders regarding key HR information such as metrics and summaries of HR activities.
