Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM related discipline with 9 years of experience.
TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
Perform system analysis, architecture, and integration services for Fleet Cyber Command.
Identify and perform research and analysis of alternatives (AOA), evaluation, development and test of technologies from GOTS, COTS, Academia, and Industry.
Perform Analysis of current and emerging Operational and functional Requirements for the Navy Fleet, theater and Service and Joint levels.
Analysis of Cyberspace Operations Support System capabilities and deficiencies
Perform Military Utility Assessments (MUA's) & Operational Utility Assessments (OUA's)
Understanding of the vulnerabilities, risks, safeguards, performance indicators and countermeasures related to Fleet Cyber Command and 10th Fleet.
