We are looking for a Senior Principal JavaScript Architect who is motivated to make a difference in clinical trials by creating reusable libraries, implementing complex solutions, encouraging quality code through conducting reviews/leading tests, and applying beautiful UI to Clinical 6 functionality. You will work with the UI/UX and backend team to allow various clients to use our product as well as provide management responsibilities across a team of engineers that are building out our product in a microservice architecture.

  • Ability to lead a team of engineers that are building out our product in a microservice architecture

  • Work with PMO to ensure the team can be successful with:

  • correct inputs into our Agile SDLC (grooming sessions, user stories, etc).

  • planning and scoping of projects

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies

  • Partner with Quality Assurance to produce scalable, secure and highly functional releases utilizing Agile methods and tightly integrated development/test practices.

  • Partner with DevOps to ensure stability and ease of deployments for our products

  • Work with Engineering architecture to organize the team for feature development

  • Shepherd the culture of the team based on "team player" mentalities:

  • Ability to hire based on cultural and technical fit

  • Maintain a culture of integrity and accountability

  • Mentor employees and lead them down the engineering pipeline, eventually choosing management, guru, or architectural disciplines

  • Weekly 1:1s with direct reports

  • Be able to show metrics of success for the team

  • Weekly reports to management

  • Lead collaboration with peers and Creative Team on UI and interaction designs

  • Implement intuitive, maintainable, responsive web application UIs using JavaScript technologies

  • Collaborate with architect to build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

  • Build appropriate unit, integration and/or automated testing solutions

  • Use the API and SDK to support Clinical 6 platform functionality

  • Proficiency in JavaScript technologies, such as Type Script, and AngularJS

  • Demonstrated understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

  • Solid understanding of web markup (HTML5 and CSS3) and templating technologies such as Mustache, Underscore and Angular templating

  • Ability to visually review specifications documents and provide input on successfully implementing business solutions

  • Proficiency with build tools including Webpack, NPM, Grunt, and Gulp.js

  • Demonstrated understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git) and code versioning philosophies (such as Git-Flow)

  • Ability to work independently or with a team and lead a project to completion

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills

  • 9+ years industry experience with background in Agile methodology

  • Prior success as primary client interface, program manager for enterprise software implementation project.

  • 9+ years JavaScript web application development experience using MVVM design patterns

  • 6+ years experience with build tools and code versioning tools - conducting code reviews, understanding, and enforcing standards

  • 3+ years experience with visualization and mapping libraries, such as D3, ChartJS, Leaflet, Google Maps, etc.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and move quickly to address unexpected problems or opportunities.

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related technical field (MS preferred).

  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.

Preferred Experience

  • Development with Node.js

  • Mobile development (either Native or Cross Platform)

  • Building Angular components

  • Building REST API or other server tools with backed technologies, such as Ruby, Java, .Net or SQL

  • Authentication with tokens utilizing technologies such as OAuth

  • Understanding of healthcare security and compliance (HIPAA, Annex 11, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, etc.)

What You'll get to Do: Seeking an Engineer to work with a team of engineers responsible for the design and production of Ground Control Stations for the Triton program. The engineering team is made up of mechanical, electrical, software, and hardware engineers and they are subdivided into 3 teams: drawings, hardware design, and system production. These individuals and teams work together and get exposure to different fields. An Engineer is required as part of the production team to interface across multiple engineering disciplines including build, software installation, information assurance, and system test. Already having experience in multiple engineering disciplines is required. The production team overseas the entire build and sell off of a Triton ground station from beginning to end. They work closely with manufacturing and quality to ensure everything is built to specs. Coordinate SW installation activity, coordinate information assurance with customer and security. The team must also coordinate and perform acceptance testing and final customer signoff. Ideal candidate will have manufacturing engineering experience working in a production or assembly environment and working knowledge of common GSEG hardware such as servers, workstations, firewalls, and commercial cablings practices.
