Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for an experienced Sr. Principal EHS Engineer to join the Launch Vehicles EHS team in Chandler AZ.

The Sr. Principal EHS Engineer interprets, recommends, and complies with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies.

Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new environmental requirements. Finds, evaluates, and prepares contracts for properly licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal firms and monitors waste handling. Organizes and equips spill-control teams.

Writes and updates environmental and spill-control manuals and procedures. Prepares environmental impact statements and applies for all new permits and renewals. Provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires Bachelor of Science degree plus 9 years of experience; Masters degree plus 7 years of experience; PhD plus 4 years of experience

US Citizenship is required

Active secret clearance is required

Ability to travel is required

Salary Range: $104,400.00 - $156,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
