Northrop Grumman is currently looking for a Sr. Principal Engineer Test Engineer (Project Lead) located in our Northridge, CA. location.
This will be 100% on-site.
Responsibilities Include:
Handling the technical day-to-day duties of moving the project forward
Leading, inspiring, and motivating the team to do their best work.
Regularly communicate with project stakeholders to provide updates on the project's progress and to ensure that all stakeholders are satisfied with the project's outcome.
Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements and assigning personnel to phases and elements.
Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; and calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
Controls project plan by reviewing design, and specifications, resolving problems, and planning schedule changes.
Controls project costs by approving expenditures; and administering contractor contracts.
Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; and recommending actions.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
Responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects within an organization.
Qualifications and Requirements:
BS + 9 years of experience working in an engineering capacity or a MS +7 years experience in related field.
In-depth in electronics, technical leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration.
Strong project management skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
Able to manage the team effectively, delegate tasks, provide feedback and support, and ensure that the team works together toward the project's success.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Overlooking and ensuring a smooth workflow.
Motivating the team and solving problems. Guiding the team to complete their tasks.
Managing the schedule and delegating tasks to team members.
Experience project lead planning and organizing the project, setting deadlines and milestones, and managing the resources and budget effectively.

Salary Range: $120,900.00 - $181,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
