Senior Principal Engineer II- Technical

Must have an active Secret clearance or held one within the last two years.

Our client searches for new ways to provide customers with a competitive edge across the air, maritime, land and cyber domains.

Summary of Role-

The scope includes aerodynamic analysis and model development, flight control system design and analysis, - actuation system design and analysis, strap down and GPS aided navigation system design and analysis, midcourse and terminal guidance design optimization as well as system performance analysis and flight test verification.

Top Needs for this person-

  • 10+ years of experience in Guidance, Navigation or Controls theory and analysis

  • Experience performing systems engineering trade studies, analysis of alternatives, sensitivity analysis, etc.

  • Relevant experience developing and verifying models of concept weapon systems and subsystems to include,

  • airframes, seekers, launch platforms,

  • flight dynamics, guidance algorithms,

  • environmental models and tracking filters,

  • radar aided navigation, up finding, sensor integration,

  • agile tail, canard missile flight dynamics and control

  • Experience in: autopilot development with a desire for modern control experience, dynamic six degree of freedom modeling and simulation, launch vehicle analysis and navigation systems.

  • Experience with modeling and simulation in 3DoF and 6DoF and working experience with C/C++.

  • Must be thoroughly proficient with modeling and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink.

Preferred Needs

  • Demonstrated track record developing advanced autopilots, guidance laws and Kalman Filtering

  • Demonstrated skills integrating terminal seekers into a projectile system

  • Experience in robust multivariable H-infinity/Mu-synthesis, LQI, LQG/LTR, and/or Integrated Guidance and Control (IGC) design

  • Capable of extending the state of the art in,

  • adaptive control in model reference adaptive control,

  • state dependent Riccati equations,

  • adaptive sliding mode control, multiple controller mixing, or other approaches.

REQUIRED: Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or Applied Mathematics or Applied Physics

We are considering candidates for both Quality Engineer and Sr. Quality Engineer job levels for this position. You will be a key member of the Quality Assurance group for Coloplast Manufacturing - US. Put your skill set to use in a variety of projects that drive our mission of making life easier for people with intimate health care needs. Job Function Summary Monitor and maintain quality compliance within US Operations. Support quality deliverables for projects within US Operations. Recommend and implement process improvements within US Operations. In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality. Major Areas of Accountability * Provide quality engineering support to US Operations to ensure FDA/ISO compliance and act as first line support for quality issues. * Recommend and implement quality improvements and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and promote continuous improvement. * Conduct and document root cause investigations of non-conforming processes and products. * Facilitate Material Review Board meetings. * Participate in or lead Corrective and Preventive Actions as appropriate. * Review sampling techniques/methods/rationale and test methods to ensure appropriateness. * Review quality content in change control for products and processes. * Review and author validation documents and validate processes. * Initiate Change Requests to update documentation and processes. * Perform data analysis; write summary reports and other technical memoranda. * Maintain applicable QMS instructions. * Other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications * Bachelor's degree, in a relevant science or engineering discipline. * Minimum of three years related experience in medical device manufacturing. * Knowledge of FDA regulations (21 CFR Part 820) and ISO standards (13485, 14971) and their application. * Experience with process validation, Change Control systems, sample size determination, FMEA, and gage R&R. * Knowledge of various statistical techniques (hypothesis testing, ANOVA, DOE, process capability, etc.). * Analytical problem solving skills. * Excellent data analysis skills and proficiency using statistical tools (e.g. Minitab). * Ability to successfully work within a team based environment. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities. * Effective computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications * Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) through ASQ. * Experience with continuous improvement, Lean six-sigma, or similar programs and techniques. * Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. * Experience performing internal audits. Work Environment The majority of time is spent on the production floor. Requires the frequent use of a computer. May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust, and chemicals which are monitored and within acceptable OSHA levels. Entering clean room areas will require the removal of makeup and jewelry and the donning of clean room apparel. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
