We have an opening for a DevOps Network Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization. This position will be performed in Dulles, VA. This work will primarily be performed in a SCIF environment so onsite work is required. Current or active Top-Secret clearance is required.
Job Responsibilities
In this role you will:
Design and plan network communications systems.
Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Conduct testing of network design.
Work alongside DevOps Engineers to automate cloud native technologies, deploy applications, and provision critical infrastructure.
Work within the OpenStack cloud ecosystem to configure and deploy optimized infrastructure.
Ensure monitoring and health of the resources deployed via Nagios or other enterprise management solutions.
Document procedures used during deployment cycles.
To be successful in this role you should have:
Strong network engineering skills with a strong understanding of networking in a virtual environment
Exposure to DevOps practices and/or work with a CI/CD team.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times and shifting priorities
Proven troubleshooting skills and willingness to take on unfamiliar challenges
Proficiency with network security principles, threats, and vulnerabilities
Ability to design, implement, and maintain complex systems and networks as well as coordinate maintenance activities with other team members and users to produce least impact solutions.
Solid understanding of the OSI model
DoD 8570 IAM/IAT certification requirements; Security+ or CISSP
Superior written and oral communication skills

Salary Range: $97,500.00 - $146,300.00Salary Range 2: $120,900.00 - $181,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
