Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO.
The responsibilities for this role include:
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long- term perspective, for desired results.

Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives.
Liaison
Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
Basic Qualifications:
9 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
User experience with McAfee End point security
User experience with Splunk Enterprise Q-Audit
User experience with Tenable Security Center (how to set up scans and create reports)
Strong understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF); ability to adapt to organizational implementation of RMF tracking tools.
Ability to demonstrate/provide training to junior members of the team on the above tools
Have a strong understanding of NIST 800-53 and be able to work with an organizational version as needed.
Salary Range: $136,300.00 - $204,500.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
