Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team in Aurora, CO.

The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long- term perspective, for desired results.

Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives.

Liaison

Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 9 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Preferred Qualifications:

  • User experience with McAfee End point security

  • User experience with Splunk Enterprise Q-Audit

  • User experience with Tenable Security Center (how to set up scans and create reports)

  • Strong understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF); ability to adapt to organizational implementation of RMF tracking tools.

  • Ability to demonstrate/provide training to junior members of the team on the above tools

  • Have a strong understanding of NIST 800-53 and be able to work with an organizational version as needed.

Salary Range: $136,300.00 - $204,500.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. We've got what you're looking for.</p><p>Job Description:</p><p>Parsons is looking for a Cybersecurity Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to provide support services to customers on advanced systems acquisitions, development operations, and disposal. This Cyber ISSE will ensure that appropriate security engineering principles, concepts, methods, and practices are applied throughout the system lifecycle to achieve customer objectives for the protection of mission-critical assets; will reduce system vulnerabilities through requirements definition, system design, risk analysis, and secure operations; in accordance with NIST SP 800-160.</p><p>Parsons' extensive experience in this field, combined with your technical knowledge, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Define system security requirements in coordination with security stakeholders including system engineers, program managers, security control assessors, and authorizing officials.</p></li><li><p>Provide independent cybersecurity advice and guidance to government stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Review system engineering requests for change (RFCs) to determine potential cybersecurity implications</p></li><li><p>Develop or review system security designs and architectures and advise stakeholders on cybersecurity implications with the goal to manage risk</p></li><li><p>Advise security engineers on best methods to remediate vulnerability findings through security scanning and management tools (i.e. Nessus/ACAS, WebInspect, Splunk)</p></li><li><p>Support engineering analysis of alternatives, tradeoffs, and risk treatment decisions</p></li><li><p>Work with interdisciplinary Cyber Defense teams to deliver trustworthy and secure systems.</p></li><li><p>Develop cybersecurity documentation in support of customer Risk Management Framework (RMF) process;
