Engineering Operations in Azusa, California is seeking a multi-disciplined professional to oversee operations of the Real-Time Enterprise Models and Simulations (RTEMS) Lab, which provides test support for the Missile Defense Agency.

This is a technical leadership or leadership development role requiring an understanding of computer infrastructure administration, systems architecture, cyber security, information assurance and the ability to work with a diverse user community in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will lead a team of system administrators, interface with internal and external organizations and stakeholders, perform project management and coordinate all aspects of the lab's infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter with the ability to work with all levels of management with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage infrastructure support scope, cost and schedule

  • Oversee cybersecurity flaw remediation (vulnerability scanning, patching, etc.)

  • Monitor lab infrastructure usage, performance, integrity and backups

  • Oversee hardware and software integration, installation and upgrades

  • Oversee system problem investigation and resolution

  • Participate in change management boards

  • Maintain applicable documentation

Basic Qualifications:

  • 9 Years of professional exempt-level work experience with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance must be held and maintained. U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Prior experience as a project manager or team lead

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-53)

  • CISSP or other cybersecurity certification

Assignments are in areas such as launch rehearsal planning and execution, system test planning and execution, design and development of analysis tools, generation of system databases and payload command products, assessment of payload state of health, and operations support of an operational payload constellation. Interest in Telemetry Tracking & Commanding of space hardware is required, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business needs. NGLinkedAS Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) Field is required (Aerospace or Electrical Engineering are preferred) * A minimum of 5 years of exempt level engineering experience. * Proficient with Microsoft Office. * Experience working with MATLAB * Active DoD Secret security clearance must be held and maintained. U.S. Citizenship is required.
