Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Principal Agile Product Owner- Global Software SME and Product Owner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Senior Principal Agile Product Owner- Global Software SME and Product Owner will support the C2BMC JEMINI program and serve as the Product Owner of either our GUI or GES team. The selected candidate will primarily be responsible for software development using Java.

The successful candidate should be able to interact with other people using good verbal and written communication skills. Work independently or with a small group. Be flexible in a highly dynamic and ever-changing environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide in-depth analysis and technical support of a large, distributed system written in Java.

  • Resolve complex problems, design, develop, test, integrate, and support users for a large code baseline.

  • Follow specifications to develop or modify functionality within the code.

  • Assist with design, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation.

  • Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve efficiency.

  • Design, code, test, and implement tools for automation.

  • Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced, team environment.

  • Knowledge of software practices and coding standards

  • Strong problem-solving skills, including reviewing performance issues, identifying root causes, and recommending and developing a solution.

  • Experience leading an Agile team.

  • Familiarity with Java Spring

  • Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker/Kubernetes

  • Knowledge of server-side development and message passing

  • Experience developing enterprise applications.

  • Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasks.

  • Use common software development and management tools such as git, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, Maven or Gradle, and Eclipse.

  • Understand standard system engineering design artifacts such as Use Cases and UML diagrams.

Basic Qualifications:

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 9 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 7 years of related experience, or 4 years with a PhD.

  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs.

  • Applicants must have an active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Top-Secret security clearance which is required to start, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.

  • Possessing a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is highly desired.

  • Command and control system application development is desired.

  • Previous experience with message translation software

  • Automated test and pipeline development experience

  • Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.

  • Experience with Software Integration testing, including developing automated test scripts.

  • Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation.

  • Prior experience designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers and experience setting up a container environment.

Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
