What You'll Get to Do:
Provide acquisition expertise and process understanding to the IWS Acquisition Officer (IWS-A).
Review DAES/RDAIS reports submitted by ACAT program teams, identify changes from previous reports as well as any discrepancies, and provide approval recommendations to IWS-A. Draft emails for IWS A to PEO IWS senior leadership explaining changes to the subject reports and recommendations for approval.
Track and maintain the status of all acquisition programs and projects within PEO IWS. Update numerous graphics to reflect the latest status.
Review new Department of Defense (DoD)/Navy acquisition policies and provide recommendations/proposed changes to IWS-A.
Review key acquisition documentation such as Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans and Acquisition Program Baselines (APBs) and provide comments to IWS-A.
Plan for, organize and execute Major Program Milestones Reviews chaired by the PEO. Compile minutes, actions and assist in the drafting of Acquisition Decision Memorandums (ADMs).
Interface with personnel at all levels within the Department of the Navy (DON) and the DoD.
Respond to emergent tasking from IWS-A as directed.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Expert level understanding of acquisition policy within the DoD and Department of the Navy.
A minimum of 12 years of experience in the DoD/DON acquisition process.
Familiarity with and hands-on experience with the Defense Acquisition Management Information Retrieval (DAMIR) and the RDA Information Systems (RDAIS).
5 years of experience working within a Navy PEO or program office.
Understanding of DoD, DON and OPNAV organization structure.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Active DoD Secret Clearance
