Along with the Systems Consultant description, the employee must possess a strong technology skill-stack mainly focused on Oracle backend, ETL, and Business Intelligence solutions. As a tech-lead within the team, the employee must also be able to properly communicate and transfer these skills to other developers, managers, and business analysts.
Strong PL/SQL development history including creating procedures, packages, functions and views.
Documented data warehousing, operational, transactional, and ETL solution development and support.
Robust query analysis, tuning, and optimization skills.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix servers, scheduling, scripting, and best practices related to daily operations.
Knowledgeable in standard SDLC concepts, proper DevOps procedures, and documentation practices for long-term sustainability of solutions.
Complex problem solving utilizing a wide array of technologies for optimal and maintainable solutions.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training
Minimum of 10 years' experience in systems analysis, design, development, and implementation
An understanding of basic concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies
Extensive analytical abilities and technical skills to evaluate alternative approaches and to recommend the most feasible and economical solutions
Proficiency in an extensive range of architectures, analytical and design techniques, database technologies, programming languages and Business Intelligence
Proven ability to design global applications using the appropriate systems architecture, database structures, and communication and network technologies
Extensive analytical abilities and technical skills to isolate problems, fix immediate needs, analyze all ramifications and implement complete solutions
Define, organize, plan, lead, and execute projects from vision through implementation
Demonstrated ability to lead and effectively participate in teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms
Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long-term objectives
Familiarity with database administration activities
Disk Space management
User and Account Management
Managing schemas and structures
MS SQL Server query and development skills
Business intelligence tools such as Cognos, Qlikview, Tableau, or MS Power BI.
Microsoft TFS, Azure DevOps, or Redgate source control
MS .Net technology familiarity, including VB.NET, C#.NET, MVC, LinQ and Entity Framework.
Knowledgeable in Agile Development best practices
