Can you provide support and direction for installation, commissioning, replacement, repair, and operation of all company pipeline facilities? What you will do:
Provide leadership and direction to Pipeliners and Pipeline Specialists as required to resolve maintenance issues and as an advisor on Capital Projects.
Assist cost estimating, budgeting, and in obtaining clear scope definitions in order to obtain accurate cost estimates and project definitions.
Scheduling, cost control and forecasting for the assigned projects and reporting these to the Supervisor of Pipeline Operations.
Participate in design reviews with the Company's Engineering & Construction Department, and external customers for review and approval of design criteria and construction drawing packages.
Formulate material bid specifications and requisitions; evaluate bids and make material selections.
Work with the Procurement group to order materials for on-time delivery to the job site.
Provide technical direction and assistance to area/field employees thru training, written, and verbal communication to operate, install test and assess company facilities in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.
Assist in developing and maintaining company specifications and standards.
Be knowledgeable with all company standards, operation of equipment, and hazardous location classification with regards to natural gas pipeline facilities.
Provide training and technical guidance for Area Pipeline Specialists, Pipeliners and welders with respect to the Company's Employee Qualification Program (EQP) as well as the Operator Qualification (OQ) training, evaluation, and Region approval sign-off.
Provide technical support for all pipeline related facilities i.e. equipment, write scopes of work, provide technical and safety training, review drawings, manage projects, and troubleshoot equipment.
Interact with the Houston Technical Staff and the other Region's technical advisors to assure that Company SOPs, EQP's and Maintenance Standards are current and consistently applied to all equipment in the Northeast Region.
Who you are:
You have the following education and/or experience:
Related university degree and sixplus years' experience OR eightplus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to self-manage, set priorities and establish goals as well as work effectively with others in a team environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer applications such as Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, SAP, and Mechanical specific programs.
Natural Gas Transmission experience.
Ability to direct and coordinate the work of others.
Ability to train others plus evaluate and recommend training for others in the mechanical field.
Possess advanced troubleshooting skills and stays abreast of new technology.
Ability to lead others on projects and resolving operational issues.
Must be adaptable to changing project types and workloads.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Possess knowledge and experience with pipeline related equipment
Perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
Will to work overtime, be on call, and travel overnight.
Overnight Travel 40% - 50%.
