This is What You'll Do:

  • Perform venipunctures and plasma collection

  • Operate automated plasmapheresis machines

  • Maintain compliance with SOP, current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP) and regulatory guidelines

  • Trains and provides leadership to new/existing employees

  • Reports quality issues and procedural deviations to Quality Assurance and Management

  • Educates new donors on the use of products made from donated plasma

  • Monitors and assists center physicians with donor reactions

  • Maintains proper ratio to ensure donor safety and quality of product

This is What It Takes:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts

  • Phlebotomy certificate or license required by the state of employment

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to understand and follow protocol

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a medical or health care environment

  • Specialized medical or phlebotomy training

  • CPR certification

  • Team lead/Supervisor experience

They perform a variety of general and specialized nursing duties as part of a total health care team to provide the patient with complete evaluations. May supervise and instruct subordinate nursing personnel. Receives supervision from head nurse or physician, functions independently within guidelines. May supervise ancillary nursing personnel in the performance of certain tasks, and assists in training personnel. Work is performed under usual clinic conditions and requires a high degree of contact with patients, families, and other clinic personnel and outside professionals. Preferred Qualifications * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. * Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN). * Community experience and maternal child health area. * Flexible schedule and reliable transportation to accommodate position's travel requirements. * Ability to communicate effectively with bilingual clients to meet and facilitate client needs. Required Qualifications Education: Graduate from an approved accredited nursing program. License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Texas or have the ability to transfer your license to Texas.
