The primary function of this position is to support the warehouse operations team (specifically ITAD and Reverse Logistics Operations and Engineering) with analysis of WH and Logistics performance, understand and communicate profitability of key improvement initiatives, and to work collaboratively on budgeting & forecasting. In addition, this position will assist the financial analysis on capital expenditure projects, track and monitor the performance of cost savings initiatives, KPI's, SLA's and ad hoc analysis as required.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist in establishing, implementing and continuously improving global/regional metrics to streamline and track functional processes.

  • Monitor, track and report weekly remarketing channel program cost and profitability

  • Generate program p&L, such as Logistics, Depot, RL and Desktop Service programs

  • Monitor and report operations performance and risk on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

  • Ability to develop and implement standard daily, weekly, and monthly reporting; operational performance dashboards; and conduct ad-hoc data interrogations to identify trends, pervasive issues and opportunities for improvement

  • Assist in the preparation of documents for management meetings and provide insights to key leaders during monthly updates.

  • Partner with other department leaders on projects as requested. This may involve cost analysis, tracking cost reduction efforts, generating proformas for changes to production, etc.

  • Assist and support the Directors and other BU Leaders with the annual budgeting, monthly rolling forecast and AFCE process

  • Support the financial modeling of capital expense requests. Must be able to explain the model assumptions, risks, upside, etc. and present information to others as requested

  • Track and analyst continuous process improvements, such as Lean

  • Run daily reporting, maintain trend files for KPIs and SLA performance metrics.

  • Responsible for data gathering, writing queries and running reports for ops and engineering leadership . Check reports for correctness of data. Perform moderate to complex analysis of reports and interpret the data for others. Explain variances. Make recommendations

  • Track and generate quarterly Gain Share bonus program results

  • Prepare unbiased, data-driven analysis useful for decision making

  • Track cost of quality and report to ops and quality directors

  • Track daily, weekly and monthly labor hours by department and LOB

  • Develop a activity based costing system to category level

  • Track and report site cost and cost center cost

  • Review and attend weekly p&l meetings, explaining variance in WH variable and direct cost

  • Review and monitor spend reports

  • Provide guidance and oversight on the plans elaborated by the team. Ensure these are sound, and that they have cross-functional buy-in.

  • Track progress against Operations objectives, and ensure we are delivering to stated commitments.

  • Ensure that all work is tracked according to the accounting practices necessary to support finance oversight needs (e.g, Capitalized expenses)

  • Recommend how to allocate/re-allocate resources in order to delivery of SLA, and to minimize risk.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 4 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in an operations capacity
