Advancement and career development opportunities Responsibilities What You'll Do Calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients; formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits. Calibrate instruments and review calibration data to detect trends indicating instrument malfunction Calculate data to include results of patient studies and radioactive decay Evaluate and record images for technical quality Process computerized image data to include function curves and reconstructed SPECT images Maintain inventory of supplies assigned to the area; prepare and maintain records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposal activities Perform required QA/QC functions, including monitoring the Nuclear Medicine Department with a portable Geiger Counter for possible contamination Perform nuclear cardiology studies including image acquisition and processing and monitoring patient vital signs Qualifications What You'll Bring Graduate of an accredited two-year radiologic technology program with advanced training and certification in Nuclear Medicine ARRT (NM) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board BLS certification Competency in compounds of Nuclear Medicine practice
