Role Overview

DST Asset Management Solutions is looking for a Senior NSCC Financial Operations Analyst. In this role, you will interact with internal and external clients. NSCC Financial Operations Analysts demonstrate a solid knowledge of multiple vertical lines of business (mutual fund, alternative products, support operations) and strengthen their knowledge of business processes in a variety of ways. As a Senior NSCC Financial Operations Analyst, you will demonstrate expertise in business processes, internal systems/applications, software tools, and the customers' business, and demonstrates successful customer relationship skills.

  • Support activities in new lines of business, business process improvements, risk reduction, or cost savings initiatives.

  • Manage dedicated fund and firm relationships

  • Lead projects related to, but not limited to, new lines of business, business process improvement, risk reduction, cost savings initiatives, and best practice identification; may also be delegated special work assignments. . .

  • Identify efficiencies and valued added solutions that analyze possibilities, capabilities, and constraints, and recommend alternative business solutions.

  • Provide daily and ad hoc support to internal and external clients.

  • Develop documentation, including training materials, internal procedures, and implementation guides.

  • Lead smaller scoped projects or portions of larger, more complex projects.

  • Develops and leads the implementation of innovative solutions to complex business and operational problems or opportunities. Collaborates with management to discuss and negotiate internal business and customer project initiatives and prioritization; presents business justifications, cost benefit analysis, etc

  • Analyzes and documents current systems, required functionality, and gaps; current and end-state business processes; business requirements and user stories, including recommendations to alternate solutions to business problems; and communication and training strategies

  • Leads and participates in the initiation, requirements, design, testing, fund setup/conversion, and post-implementation support phases of a project. Functions as a customer advocate by collaborating and working directly with the customer; providing appropriate information exchange; and ensuring their operational business and system requirements, expectations, and support needs are being met.


  • Bachelor's degree, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience

  • 3-5 years professional experience preferred

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Experience with NSCC products and services required

  • Experience with TA 2000/ DST 3270 / Smart Desk /SDII a plus

POSITION SUMMARY: TIAA is seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst to join their Production Support team in either their Charlotte, NC, Kansas City, MO, Iselin, NJ, Denver, CO or Broomfield, CO office. This position will analyze, design, develop and document computer information systems for the institutional retirement application portfolio. The selected candidate will be responsible to scale-up quickly and join an existing production support team that supports critical applications. This role will work independently as well as interface with multiple external teams in day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess good communication skills, ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Perform successful root cause analyses for problem resolution in a UNIX environment * Provide timely diagnostics, recommendations and resolution on production issues * Transition new institutional clients to the production support team and when they are on-boarded as new institutional clients, adopt TIAA new institutional retirement applications * Provide support to critical development, test and software vendor(s) on issues that require diagnostics, configuration or data changes and/or code fixes * Interface with other downstream applications and business operation teams on issues and problems to manage business workflows * Identify areas of improvement in processing files, implementing automation and monitoring and inspection of outputs and resulting data and client correspondence * Support software release testing and provide production support sign-off for new versions * Assist with supervising contingent workers and their daily tasks including onshore and offshore staff * Handle flat files, compare and make revisions to them Qualifications: Required: * Bachelor's degree * Prior experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Engineer or equivalent * Three (3) years programming experience with Java/J2EE * Experience working with Oracle * Experience working with UNIX Operating Systems * Experience with Operating Systems life cycle management and configuration management Preferred: * One (1) year experience with SPLUNK and/or similar logging and monitoring tools * Experience using tools such as FileZilla, SQL Developer, Mongo Chef Core, and Putty * One (1) year experience working in an Application Production Support environment * Experience with Web Services * Experience working in a virtual team environment * Experience with SQL optimization * Experience with business acumen to understand product offerings * Ability to understand complex data models and write complex SQLs * Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally to all levels of business stakeholders * Previous experience working in Financial Services and/or Retirement industry Equal Employment Opportunity is not just the law, it's our commitment.
