Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates EEG techs and vascular ultrasound techs, procedures, monthly reports and supplies, trains personnel in operations of the laboratory to include office procedures, equipment operation and maintenance, scheduling, record keeping and other duties as necessary. Additionally, greets patients and processes non-invasive vascular requests and is responsible for performance of vascular ultrasound diagnostic procedures; for completing all measurements on ultrasound studies and reporting findings to physicians. Responsible for all clerical work associated with the tests. Maintains departmental ICAVL accreditation.

Qualifications:

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider Course.

Knowledge of vascular ultrasound testing procedures and equipment at a level normally acquired through completion of three years post high school education

Two years of progressive work experience to gain advanced knowledge of standard and complex vascular procedure, to conduct and teach these procedures to support staff.
