Sr. Network Strategy Engineer

Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel) provides broadband services through its high speed, state-of-the-art fiber optic and cable networks to customers in the Mid-Atlantic United States. Job Summary

The Network Strategy Engineer plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our telecommunications network. This position requires a visionary individual with a deep understanding of data analysis, network technologies, network design, industry trends, and business objectives. The Network Strategy Engineer will analyze complex datasets and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement long-term network strategies that align with the company's objectives.

Qualification Requirements:

• Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technology field is preferred. Other candidates with a strong technical background and substantial industry experience will be considered.

• Experience:

• 7 or more years of experience in telecommunication design and networks

• 5 or more years of experience in data modeling and analysis

• Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical (data and geospatial) skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

Knowledge:

• Advanced knowledge of telecommunication design and networks

• Advanced knowledge of data modeling and analysis

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI

• Alteryx Designer, Safe FME, or other ETL tools

• ESRI or other GIS Mapping Tools

• Microsoft SharePoint and Teams

• Tableau Preferred
