What is the opportunity?
It's always exciting to be a part of an awesome team. Our Cyber Technology group within Cyber Technology Office are responsible for providing Level 2 support for Network Security & Application Delivery as well as 2 End User Services: Remote Access and Employee Internet Access. You will partner across IT with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, analyze business, technical and system needs. You will also resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. The context is small to large development or maintenance projects (multiple projects - one application with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties) emphasis is split between design, testing and technical analysis. What will you do?
Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project for the cyber and network security platforms
Coordinate the installation, configuration, administration, trouble shooting and de-install of supported cyber and network products on the required platforms
Provide consulting services on new initiatives (small to large of varying complexity) covering the cyber and network security platforms
Together with Project Manager, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives
Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies
Perform disaster recovery for entire system in different situations
Provide on-call L2 support for the cyber and network security infrastructure (i.e. firewalls, intrusion/malware prevention, web application firewalls, cloud security, etc.)
Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
Prepare and deliver presentations to technology partners & may act at a project leader
What do you need to succeed?
In depth and current technical knowledge of IP Internetworking and the security exposures and mitigating designs and processes associated with them
Thorough understanding of traditional/ next generation cyber & network security technologies to identify and combat internal and external threats
Experience in cyber, network security technology & networking fundamentals
Strong understanding of security exposures and mitigating designs
IT Standards, Methodologies, CMM & audit requirements
ITIL v3: Foundations, Operational Support & Analysis & Palo Alto Certified
