What is the opportunity?

It's always exciting to be a part of an awesome team. Our Cyber Technology group within Cyber Technology Office are responsible for providing Level 2 support for Network Security & Application Delivery as well as 2 End User Services: Remote Access and Employee Internet Access. You will partner across IT with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, analyze business, technical and system needs. You will also resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. The context is small to large development or maintenance projects (multiple projects - one application with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties) emphasis is split between design, testing and technical analysis. What will you do?

  • Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project for the cyber and network security platforms

  • Coordinate the installation, configuration, administration, trouble shooting and de-install of supported cyber and network products on the required platforms

  • Provide consulting services on new initiatives (small to large of varying complexity) covering the cyber and network security platforms

  • Together with Project Manager, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives

  • Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies

  • Perform disaster recovery for entire system in different situations

  • Provide on-call L2 support for the cyber and network security infrastructure (i.e. firewalls, intrusion/malware prevention, web application firewalls, cloud security, etc.)

  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to technology partners & may act at a project leader

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • In depth and current technical knowledge of IP Internetworking and the security exposures and mitigating designs and processes associated with them

  • Thorough understanding of traditional/ next generation cyber & network security technologies to identify and combat internal and external threats

  • Experience in cyber, network security technology & networking fundamentals

  • Strong understanding of security exposures and mitigating designs

  • IT Standards, Methodologies, CMM & audit requirements

  • ITIL v3: Foundations, Operational Support & Analysis & Palo Alto Certified

Nice to Have:

  • Checkpoint certification

  • CISSP certification

  • Cloud certification

The Sr. Cyber Security Operations Analyst will play a significant role in our Security Operations Center team (SOC), reviewing and handling oversight to a number of security controls, and providing operational insight to complete management of the Cyber threats. Role Overview: * Day to day operations of BBH's Cyber Intelligence Monitoring and Threat analysis. * Provide log analysis, real-time intrusion analysis, incident response, and security monitoring using a wide-array of industry leading tools * Respond and perform in-depth technical analysis and risk assessment of all security events and incidents. * Provide related documentation in support of BBH regulatory guidelines (FFIEC, NYDFS, etc..) and auditing initiatives Responsibilities: Cyber Security Operations Center * Maintain a working relationship with a 24x7 external cyber intelligence and threat monitoring service (MSSP). * Respond and manage security events.Engage in security investigations and use tools to identify and report the outcomes of incidents to senior management. * Participate in technical discussions around security events and activities with various non-technical and technical parties. * Collaborate with security architects, development, network, server and web teams investigate security incidents and provide prevention solutions for cyber threats. * Follow the firm's project management and SDLC disciplines to insure structured and effective implementation and operations Vulnerability Management Program * Responsibilities for the monthly testing of the firm's security vulnerabilities * Track remediation of the identified security vulnerabilities. * Collaborate with application and operation system teams to remediate any security vulnerability findings. * Support 3rd party testing of the firm's cyber security posture. * Recommend, and apply best practices for addressing ongoing threats Security Operations and Response tools * Help manage security tools that monitor the firm's security configuration, changes and baselines; such as SIEM. * Respond to Endpoint protection and malware detection tools alerts. * Makes suggestions on tuning IDS Platforms, Firewall Policies, and other security devices.
