Position: Network Engineer (VoIP)
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: 12 Months Contract


Works as a team member to provide Level 2 or 3 support primarily focusing on VoIP technologies,/solutions, makes recommendations and supports projects as part of a team, and may participate in the development and/or research of advanced technologies.
The IT Network Engineer participates in ongoing VoIP (Cisco) and Telephony (Avaya) infrastructure support,analysis of VoIP and Telephony network use/design, and assists in future planning of the infrastructure.
Works under general supervision and direction following documented processes and procedures. Assignments are received in the form of results expected; within operating policies and procedures.
Incumbent has the discretion to select from alternative approaches; decisions may involve changes to normal work processes.
Bachelor degree in an applicable information technology discipline, Associate Degree in information technology and 6+ years experience in given discipline or technology.
Required Experience:

Bachelor Degree MIS CIS or Relevant Science
In depth of 6 years experience in Cisco VoIP technologies: Designing, specifying, procuring, configuring, deploying and supporting enterprise wide VoIP solutions
4 years of Experience in Avaya Telephony technologies: Designing, specifying, procuring, configuring, deploying and supporting Avaya solutions including ACD, VDN
3 years of Experience in integrating VoIP platform with other solutions including MS Office, Call Holding, Call Forwarding, Call Recording solutions
4 years of In depth experience (Level 3 and above) in troubleshooting enterprise wide VoIP solutions
3 years of Experience in Network Routing, Switching in LAN, WAN & WiFi.

VIEW JOBS 10/24/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-22T00:00 Job Description Job Summary: The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting the Little Caesars (LCE) computer systems. Design and install LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments. Implement and maintain strong network security policies, procedures, and systems to protect corporate data assets. This position operates autonomously and has decision-making authority aligned with decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: * Determine network and system requirements and make recommendations for implementation based on business requirements. * Develop test plans, network architecture and designs to meet business needs. Evaluate new technology and network processes. * Develop, plan, and implement projects around the IT infrastructure that support the corporate vision and are strategic to future growth. Test deployments before release to production, and identify areas of opportunity and improvement. Systems Administration: * Administer the server and domain infrastructure. Ensure successful data back-ups and prove ability to lead (hands-on) Disaster Recovery efforts. Maintain server based technologies: Exchange, SQL, AD, SharePoint, Antivirus, and Patch Management, and maintain and administer the SAN and virtual storage platforms. * Perform network maintenance function including but not limited to: * Facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers. * Network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems. * Perform setup, configuration and operations on networking devices including routers, Firewalls, Content monitoring systems, Load balancers and network switches. * Maintain Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches. * Maintain network facilities Performs setup, configuration and operations on network interconnections with cloud providers. * Troubleshoot advance hardware and software problems * Assists with the administration and maintenance of Company and Project IT infrastructure including VoIP Telecommunication systems * Provide support for changes to production business systems and tools, and provide support for MS-SQL and Excel. * Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems. * Perform advanced peripheral & software installations and upgrades on Servers and Desktops e.g. processor, RAID controllers, centralized software installations etc. Security: * Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security and monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users. * Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services. * Evaluate, test and install security update using automated tools & applications. * Assist in the planning and implementation of systems recovery & disaster recovery. * Follows information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance. * Interpret security scan results, identify critical vulnerabilities, reduce false-positives, and either performs or recommends corrective actions to remediate vulnerable systems and application Reporting and System Performance: * Evaluate and modify systems' performance. * Keep senior technical management informed by preparing reports on system performance and problems. * Apply active performance management software focused on detecting, evaluating, and resolving the most critical exceptions in near real-time. Other Key Responsibilities: * End User Support - Provide Tier 1 and 2 user support based on priority. Share on-call, off-hours support. * Responsible for researching potential external vendors, maintaining current vendor relationships, and ensuring projects' successful completions. * Respond to help desk requests via phone and online help desk system and follow-through on all assigned tickets to meet/exceed client expectations. * Help develop plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases. * Maintain familiarity with currently implemented and new technology, including new versions of software/firmware, implementation of upgrades, and changes to procedures/commands. * Provide clear communication and documentation of events, processes, procedures and configuration details. Communicate and monitor compliance with existing practices. * Provide sound judgment for solving complex technical issues. Including effectively communicating the problem to management with recommendations for action to resolve the issue. * Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. * Provide support and ongoing reinforcement of change management philosophies related to changes and advances in innovative business systems. Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree with computer classes. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. * Ability to provide proof of Cisco certification * Minimum of seven (7) years' experience in network design, implementation and troubleshooting and minimum of five (5) years' experience in managing DNS and supporting content switching. * Working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VOIP, QOS, IPSEC, Cisco hardware/software, PIX/ASA firewalls, network analyzers and network monitoring. * Evidence of strong, effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience. * Demonstrated ability to work with various levels of colleagues and public, from top management to new hires. * Evidence of ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. * Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Evidence of ongoing pursuit of technical knowledge and experience. Preferred: * Franchise organization background * QSR Technology experience Work Environment: * Ability to participate in an on-call rotation performing weekend and after-hours support. * This is a full-time position with various work scheduled that support a 24 X 7 shift position which can include nights, weekends and holidays. * Works in a normal office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust and the like.
