Sr Network Engineer

Job Description What You’ll do Subject matter expert responsible for the co-design and build of all strategic network platforms within Equifax, which are expected to provide competitive advantage to our portfolio of businesses globally.

• Work with network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS) and experience with IPv4 and IPv6. Work in a multi-vendor environment managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against deadlines.
  
  Participate in global team environments, solving problems around the world. Maintain expertise of industry standard next generation firewall

• Configuration, Deployment and Operation. Maintain and create useful, accessible, network documentation that can be shared with internal users, other teams, and auditors.
  
  Track and monitor network performance and throughput in ongoing effort to right size primary and secondary network links (LAN, WAN, and WLAN). Continue to drive existing and establish new company wide standards across remote sites and data centers. Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity environments are compliant, available, and easily accessible. Enable the business while maintaining a strong security posture within the network best practices framework.
  
  Manage vendor relationships and proof of concept engagements. Experience with the creation and maintenance of DNS records, DNS zones, & DNSSEC. Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation as Tier 3 escalations.
  
  Perform as the lead technical authority for these technologies within Equifax, and is responsible for ensuring that our business continually benefits from industry innovations in the network domain What experience you need BS or Associates Degree/Technical Certification or equivalent job experience. 7 years of enterprise and data center network engineering experience - network monitoring/observability including creating dashboards with network tools. 1-2 years of experience working with public Cloud platforms (AWS & GCP) Network Components. Strong experience with InfoBlox DNS solution, AWS Route 53, Google Cloud DNS and F5 GTM & LTM. Ability to participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation as Tier 3 escalations.
  
  Experience working in a multi-vendor environment with hands-on experience with networking hardware. Working knowledge of scripting and programming as it relates to network automation (Bash, Python, Perl) and deployment. Ability to interpret network traces and utilize TCPDUMP to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  
  Able to move projects and people towards project end dates in professional and efficient fashion. Working knowledge of network protocols (TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS) and experience with IPv4 and IPv6, as well as experience with layer 3 routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, etc. Ability to drive to resolution on network issues (real or perceived) by proactively engaging other groups or resources to provide updates, information, next steps, etc.
  
  Strong demonstrated troubleshooting skills. What could set you apart Strong troubleshooting skills. Excellent written, verbal, and documentation skills.
  
  Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred Developed and demonstrated skills in Change Management, Negotiation and Influence, Network Infrastructure, Network Management, Operational Excellence, Technology Troubleshooting and Process Improvement Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS) and tools like Ansible big plus. An interest in working in a DevOps environment along with a desire to develop skills in network automation will be of benefit, as will an understanding of network security. A demonstrable ability to manage 3rd parties is also required to fulfill this role.
