CGI is looking for a Sr. .NET Developer to join the team in Lafayette, LA.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Over 8 years IT experience in Microsoft Technologies to support design of Desktop and web based applications
Create End to End integration with web application supporting downstream consumers of data, database packages, procedures, functions
Support proper functioning and performance tuning of application
Develop stored procedures and triggers using SQL Server database to support ETL jobs
Work effectively with the DBA teams to ensure that all approved development and deployment procedures are followed.
Provide production support from development teams for existing systems, troubleshoot data and/or system issues
Identify root causes and resolve data related issues
Writing acceptance or behavioral driven test scenarios and execution
Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with application quality, coding, UI and Corporate standards
Key contributor of an quality engineering team whose primary goals are to improve software quality through built-in quality and improve code quality and automation of software enterprise applications
Create specialized test automation tools to meet specific needs
Work with the development team to design and implement test and validation strategies
Lead and/or mentor other software automation engineers
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Expert (6 - 8 Years hands on experience) in .Net, C#, Oracle
Expert (6 - 8 Years hands on experience) in SQL,PLSQL, Oracle tools
Experience in developing single page applications using HTML, Bootstrap, CSS.
Ability to write clear, concise code in C# using a variety of standard .NET libraries and utilizing Object Oriented techniques
Experience implementing (not just utilizing) formal software design patterns in solutions.
Solid understanding of REST principles.
Experience with multi-tiered architectures in a SOA environment.
Ability to write and debug complex stored procedures/triggers in SQL Server
Strong SQL Skills, including modeling and tuning
Experience with .NET 4.6.1 framework and Visual Studio 2017.
Experience with .NET Asynchronous processing and Parallelism
Experience with ASP.NET Webform, Knowledge of ASP.MVC is a plus
Experience utilizing Single Page Applications
Proficient in all of the listed Microsoft Technologies: .NET - C#, HTML5, WebAPI, MVC, LINQ, Lambda Expressions, Angular JS (1 through 5), JQuery, Bootstrap and MS-Specflow
Proficient in SSIS and SSRS
Experience utilizing unit testing and mocking frameworks such as MSTest, NUnit, Moq, Rhino Mocks, and similar tools.
Experience with software testing and automated test techniques with a focus on quality through the development life cycle
Demonstrated experience with software testing methods, such as functional testing, stress testing performance testing, system resiliency testing and failure injection
Leadership in test automation architecture with experience in leveraging a cloud platform
Demonstrated experience in tools such as Jenkins, Git, FitNesse, Gatling, Selenium, WebDriver or similar open source tools
Has experience in using scanning tools such as Sonarqube or Fortify and the ability understand and educate team members on how to proactively address issues
Coding, unit testing and supporting different phases of testing.
Experience with test frameworks and TDD/BDD tools (e.g. Cucumber, Gherkin)
Responsible for production implementation and support activities.
Strong Analytical and Communication Skills. Healthcare experience a plus.
Willing to go the extra mile to get things done.
Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Experience in spec flow framework
Strong communication skills and able to coach and mentor other technical resources in the ways to utilize both quality frameworks as well as deliver on in-sprint automation of testing.
Experience or knowledge in the ways of Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavioral Driven Development (BDD), and Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD)
Proficient with working with Agile/Scrum teams
Good to have
Experience with static code analysis tools
Knowledge of object-oriented programming along with requisite coding and debugging skills
Certification in Agile / SAFe
BS degree in computer science or similar degree (software engineering, information systems / technology)
