The Sr.

National Account Manager, Trade Relations is responsible for managing one or more wholesalers as well as specialty distributors and GPOs affiliated with the wholesaler for BBU’s product portfolio as well as future pipeline products.

This position will serve as the face and voice of BBU for distribution services of BBU products in the trade channel. As such, the Sr.

National Account Manager will be held to a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and possess the ability to build strong relationships with our trading partners.

Responsibilities include development and implementation of strategic account plans for the trading partner. These plans should provide insight into potential risks, opportunities, strengths, and weakness of the account as well as recommendations of how to proceed in each category. The Sr.

National Account manager will also be responsible for negotiation and creation of trading partner DSA’s and management of existing agreements to ensure mutual compliance between the partner and BBU. This encompasses all aspects of contracting, including understanding of all terms and conditions, obtaining Legal and other critical stakeholder approval, and ability to educate internal stakeholders as needed. Post contract execution responsibilities include order management, issue resolution, and reconciling DSA metrics with invoices to ensure accuracy.

This role will be responsible for recommending and executing necessary amendments to agreements to align strategy and optimize performance of business. The Sr.

National Account Manager will conduct quarterly business review meetings with key account stakeholders to continually review performance and evaluate new partnership opportunities.

The ideal Sr.

National Account Manager will have existing relationships within the account and ability to build relationships within the C-Suite. Day-to-day responsibilities include interfacing between Logistics, Forecasting, and Finance.

This role will also work cross-functionally with Market Access and Reimbursement, Legal, Brand teams, and other functional teams to develop and implement new strategies and/or launch plan initiatives. This role will be expected to maintain a high level of communication with external customers regarding BBU’s product availability, communicate strategic direction and related concepts across internal and external customers, and utilize trade data to communicate with all stake holders on trends impacting BBU’s business. This position will participate in approved Wholesale and associated Specialty Distribution channel association meetings to increase knowledge of channel changes and opportunities (HDMA, CBI, individual key wholesaler business conferences, etc.). The Sr National Account Manager position reports to the Director or Business and Portfolio Management.

Qualifications Required Skills Minimum 7-10 yrs. of recent experience in pharmaceutical Trade management GPO experience highly preferred Strong knowledge of inventory management data (852/867) and data platforms (ValueTrak) Strong analytical skill set and Excel proficiency Ability to synthesize and educate leadership on business priorities in trade space Strong understanding of Trade processes and pharmaceutical regulatory requirement Strong interpersonal and communication skills Additional experiences across Pharmaceutical Sales and / or Marketing roles preferred Experience managing contracts and updates holistically Experience in establishing distribution strategies for new product launches Excellent leadership and teamwork skills Strong compliance mindset Contract negotiation skills and business planning skills required Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required Additional Information Why Biogen?
