This position will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Assist team of Closers/Funders by overseeing the preparation of closing documents and the funding of loans to include outgoing wire review and signoff; Closing Disclosure (CD) preparation/finalization in meeting TRID timelines; Work directly with closers/Funders providing daily support; Review Closer pipeline for assignment of loans and substantiate loans are closing within expected timeframes; Ensure closing team is adhering to CIBC Bank Policy & Procedures and that loans are closed/funded in compliance with all State regulations.; Effectively communicate changes to Bank/Departmental policies and/or procedures; Participation internal audits; review and response; Participate in weekly/monthly management meetings as deemed necessary.
What you'll be doing
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Review, assignment and maintenance of loans and daily management of Closer Pipeline(s).
Act as closing and funding resource for the team and the branch (100%); Lead back up to Loan Closer Role and all related functions. (as required and instructed by management).
Engage in verbal and written communication with all Third Parties to loan transactions including but not limited to; Title Co, Closing Escrow Agents, Attorneys.
Pre-due diligence Review of outgoing wires to Title Company under discretion of CIBC Bank signing authority at Officer Level and Internal Wire Guidelines (will update and obtain approval as required).
Quality Assurance/Quality Control of all incoming loans to ensure closing documentation accuracy and salability to investor(s) (All programs). Conduct periodic QC Audits to ensure compliance with all company quality standards.
Assist with training of staff on incoming/new Loan Products, DPAs, Investors, Bank programs.
Report productivity and departmental errors on monthly basis to direct Manager; guide team members as required.
Work with direct Manager on setting monthly goals; coach closing team regularly regarding job performance and provide feedback to direct manager via Workday feedback for annual performance reviews.
Actively participate in developing process improvements and efficiencies as an ongoing best practice.
Assist Post Funding department with outstanding document or exceptions requests originating from the Closing Team.
Assist with recruiting, interviewing and future potential hires
