As a Sr Manager in Sponsored Brands Ad you will lead a set of teams and leaders to solve complex, mission critical problems throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and operations. You will drive the architecture and grow the strategic vision of Sponsored Brands. You must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be self-driven and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment. You need to enjoy working closely in a peer group of highly talented leaders.
This role is responsible for improving how we capture advertiser intent via targeting and bidding controls, and making high quality recommendations to increase advertiser demand. We believe it to be a high leverage area for the Sponsored brands marketplace which requires both product understanding from an advertiser experience as well as close technical and analytical relationships with how we source ads and run our auction.
We are looking for smart, results oriented leader, with a proven background in leading and growing the organization in both people and capabilities. You must be technically deep, able to understand and drive to closure to issues in a real time services oriented eco-system. At the same time, you must be able to work well across multiple organizations, coordinating, planning, and working with multiple teams to solve problems. The ideal leader has experience in software development, testing, and project management.
Building innovative and complex software. A strong technical Manager, with total 15+ years of industry experience of which at least 10+ years of software development and ML experience and 5+ years managing development and science teams.
Lead a team that advances long-term, exploratory research projects in machine learning and related fields to create highly innovative advertiser experiences
Develop and manage the long-term vision and portfolio of research and engineering initiatives for your team
Lead experienced scientists as well as develop junior members from academia/industry to a successful career track in applied science
Work with product and software engineering teams to manage the integration of successful models and algorithms in complex, real-time production systems at very large scale
Experience leading large, diverse organizations and functions to deliver extraordinary results.
A track record of effective communication with diverse executive team and non-technical leaders
Monitoring, validation, and operation of production services
Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
