Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets. Builds and manages project teams ensuring quality control throughout the project life cycle. Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Has a greater degree of impact on business results, and typically manages one or more groups of professional employees.

The Sr. Manager, Sales Programs is critical to the success of our sales team's performance and productivity. As a member of the influential and collaborative Sales Portfolio Management team, the Sr. Manager will ensure the successful operationalizing, deployment, and adoption of sales strategies and programs into the sales organization.

This leader must have high emotional intelligence, with the ability to partner with all areas of the business, collaborating with sales leadership, marketing, research, finance, and learning & development teams. The leader must have effective project management and communication skills, be a change agent, and have the ability to inspire action. Highly analytical, this leader must be able to diagnose and communicate areas of high and low adoption. Ideal candidate has program & project management, consulting, or strategic planning & execution experience. The leader will report into the Director, Sales Portfolio Management.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Partners primarily with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to operationalize tactics to support new and existing sales strategies

  • Acts as voice of sales for alignment with partner departments, i.e. research, marketing, finance

  • Gatekeeping & prioritization partners with the PMO to create & own an overall business roadmap and timing of initiatives; negotiate with internal stakeholders on prioritizing initiatives

  • Creates and implements system of governance for new and evolving sales polices and strategies

  • Diagnoses inconsistencies and objectively evaluates the need for customized solutions. Uncovers best practices and areas of concern in adoption of strategy and addresses directly with relevant leaders

  • Works with various senior managers and leaders to lay out project implementation guidelines and plan for manpower and/or other resource requirements.

  • Evaluates outside service providers or contractors; provides direction in the development of tailored services; negotiates contract terms and conditions.

  • Directs project teams in the development and implementation of project plans.

  • Maintains project reports and distribution of project timelines.

  • Instructs team on project-specific assignments.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specification:

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent

  • Business, Management, Strategy, Product

  • Generally requires 8-11 years related experience

This includes interaction with SVP, EVP, and C-suite level executives.
