In this dynamic environment , you will have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.Role Overview

This position leads large team of experienced Commodity / Account Management & Strategic Sourcing professionals or team leaders, overseeing execution of key elements of supply chain strategy. Develops supplier standards and networks in support of organization's standards for price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Establishes strategy for supplier selection and negotiations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establishes elements of commodity / account management and strategic sourcing plans.

  • Develops supply chain standards and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc.

  • Approves the selection of suppliers to meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.

  • Establishes strategy for negotiating awards contracts, specifying spending limits and qualified sources of supply.

  • Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs.

  • Reviews and recommends supply markets to source for the best practices.

  • Directs negotiations with suppliers, and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices, and to determine the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and ability to meet required schedules.

  • Develops a strategic plan for a commodity or a strategic supplier.

  • Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across a given commodity.

  • Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature.

  • Ensures supplier or commodity is performing to the designed UTC requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Fabrication experience is preferred

  • Strong data analysis experience is preferred

  • Data Management experience is preferred

  • Aerospace experience is preferred

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience

Escalates complex issues to management. Primary Responsibilities: * Confers with customers who contacts the organization by telephone or electronically, provides information about organization products or services, discusses customer accounts, and obtains and addresses customer complaints. * Uses organization and product knowledge to address more difficult inquiries and provide follow up. * Develops documentation used to solve difficult customer issues/requests/complaints. Directs queries to appropriate department or personnel, as needed. * Researches published materials and secondary sources of information to find additional sources of information that can be recommended to customers to answer their questions to ensure customers' satisfactions are met. * Collects and consolidates information regarding customer interactions and transactions, analyzes customer interaction and customer service trends to facilitate future needs in trainings and improvements in customer services. * Confers with production, sales, shipping, warehouse, or other personnel to expedite or trace shipments. * May promote various products/services to ensure business targets are met. * May provide after-sales support for various client contracts. * Performs duties related to overall customer service. * Provides support to sales team with regard to customer concerns. * Coordinates with sales reps to identify inside sales opportunities. * Serves as customer interface on product status and delivery. * May manage or work in call center for customer support. * Maintains knowledge of UTC organization and products to provide the appropriate information and support to customers. * Consistently documents customer service needs to identify patterns and maintain quality.
