The Medicine Department has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Medical Biller.
Incumbent acts as a liaison between physicians of the division and CBO (Central Billing Office) to ensure that claims can be prepared in a timely an accurate fashion in accordance to the needs of insurance and billing compliance. Audit the collection effectiveness by reviewing the physician billing system, dialysis sheets and reports. Meets with billing staff to effect change as needed.
Prepares encounters forms for services that are not on the MCSL Physician Billing System/MobileCharge. The services included are: dialysis centers, University of Miami Hospital, home dialysis and 24 hour blood pressure monitors. Obtain authorizations; verify insurance and referring physician information when needed.
Register patients who are not in Uchart. Obtain medical records for medical review. Performs other duties as assigned.
The minimum requirments are: High School Graduate.
Minimum three (3) years medical billing experience. Knowledge of medical terminology, Medicare, Medicaid and third party payers. Computer skills that include MS office. Any appropriate combinationof relevant education, experience and/or certifications maybe considered.

April), the University Of Miami School Of Medicine requires all employees whoprovide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals andclinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinicalcare areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
