Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Job DescriptionWe have a client near Berkeley, CA who has an immediate direct hire opening for an experienced Sr. Mechanical Engineer.

In this role you will do analysis and research, design and test of component parts (high purity stainless steel and polymer fittings, valves, regulators, manifolds, machined parts, complex assemblies, etc.) for complex gas and fluid delivery systems, wafer cleaning, wet etching and other microelectronic processing equipment and applications. You will also develop and recommend solutions to a variety of complex engineering and product requirements.

This is a long-term DIRECT HIRE position and requires working at company site. Salary Range is $130-135K plus complete benefit package JOB REQUIREMENTS: BS Mechanical Engineering, MS preferred and 7-9 years related experience Hands on product design experience with precision machined parts, complex assemblies, tight tolerances, high level of product reliability Experience with DFA, DFM, VAVE, formal product development processes including stage gates, FMEA, design reviews, etc. Strong background with engineering calculations, tolerance stack-ups, thorough understanding of impact of design changes and ability to technically justify Experience with high pressure products/equipment, high volume production parts volume, structured problem solving (Fishbone, 5 Whys,) and experience in the semiconductor equipment industry or other highly regulated industries (medical, automotive, aerospace, etc.) Experience and proficiency with INVENTOR, SOLIDWORKS, CREO or similar PRI
