Role Overview
ReCarbon, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated and productive Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who will join our engineering team to lead the development of our plasma reforming product.
Suitable candidates will be self-starters, seeking to learn at a high pace, and able to balance competing priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Work within the R&D team to design, fabricate, and test chemical reactors and supporting systems
Design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems with a focus on DFM/DFA
Design, fabricate, and test prototype products for evaluation using in-house machine shop
Design and fabricate fixtures to support and validate advanced R&D initiatives
Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges
Perform failure analysis on parts
Assist with QA and testing activities
Work with domestic and international vendors, contract manufacturers, and partners to fabricate gas processing equipment and ancillary components
Skills and Qualifications
BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles in an applicable industry
Proficient in SOLIDWORKS (Experience with PDM is a plus)Machine shop & fabrication experience (i.e., lathe, mill, 3D printing)
Extensive relevant engineering experience in process scale up and commercialization of new chemical technologies
Team player: Be able to share knowledge, leading the team, and support other groups
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Experience developing reliability testing is a plus
Experience with biogas and/or CO2 utilization processes a plus
Location: Fremont, CA
Travel requirement: Up to 30%, domestic and international
