Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. (EDT) is seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a leading engineering and design firm, we specialize in providing innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. In this role, you will lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and evaluating mechanical systems for various projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy management. You will also mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and collaborate with architects, contractors, and other disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality control
• Design and analyze mechanical systems for buildings, ensuring compliance with codes and standards
• Perform calculations and simulations to optimize system performance and energy efficiency
• Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and reports
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other design disciplines to integrate mechanical systems
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on building systems
• Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
• Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., Trane Trace 700)
• Strong knowledge of building codes and standards
• Excellent project management and leadership skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and project teams
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
