Job Description

As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, you will primarily focus on designing industrial ovens and oven systems, conducting FEA calculations to ensure functionality under real-world conditions. Your responsibilities will include research, development, and design of new products, meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and managing cost constraints. You'll collaborate with customers and vendors on equipment design, ensure conformance to codes and company standards for quality and manufacturability, and develop and maintain design layouts. Redesign standard products to enhance quality and productivity while reducing costs. Serve as a technical resource for sales, service technicians, Quality Assurance, and provide product field support. Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing, design, and quality issues, contributing to continuous process and method improvements.

Work Environment

The work environment offers flexibility with remote work options, though not on a fixed schedule. Standard work hours are from 8am-4:30pm, with potential for alternative schedules. The role requires occasional travel to customer sites (around 25% of the time) and involves mostly independent work, but collaboration with other departments is crucial. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team in the mechanical department.
