Microchip Technology Inc. is a leading provider of embedded control applications. Our product portfolio comprises general purpose and specialized 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers, 32-bit microprocessors, field-programmable gate array (FPGA) products, a broad spectrum of high-performance linear, mixed-signal, power management, thermal management, radio frequency (RF), timing, safety, security, wired connectivity and wireless connectivity devices, as well as serial Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM), Serial Flash memories, Parallel Flash memories, and serial Static Random Access Memory (SRAM). We also license Flash-IP solutions that are incorporated in a broad range of products.
The Mechanical Engineer will join a team of engineers and designers to work on new and existing products, designing mechanical devices and enclosures for miniature to rack mount form factors; including PCB mechanical and electrical interfaces and cable routine. Products include: Cesium and Rubidium Atomic Clocks Frequency and Time Reference Standards for both military and commercial applications.
As part of new development you will be expected to develop and refine designs, make material and component choices, evaluate end-user interaction, support Engineering and Production and enhance manufacturability and cost control. The engineer will handle Bill-of-Material creation, Engineering Change Orders and must be able to execute on design, test and quality processes.
