The Role:

The Sr. Materials Program Manager (SR MPM) is responsible for the management and delivery of the product financial health for groundbreaking, highly integrated consumer products. This person has a business orientation and is responsible for working within the local and remote operations, engineering and software teams driving development, implementation and management of the product budget. This person is the business voice responsible for capturing, documenting and communicating financial exposures and outlay as it relates to their product. They are involved throughout all stages of the product family's lifecycle to ensure Lab126 achieve all financial targets through end-of-life. They will support weekly executive product line reviews outlining performance against budget, target and actual cost. In this role, you will:

  • Work with engineering and the supply chain team to set program cost targets at a commodity level for your project

  • Track the program actual costs versus target to identify program deltas and corrective actions to bring back on track

  • Attend program new product introduction meetings to understand the cost implication of engineering and/or process changes as related to you product fully loaded cost targets

  • Work with the OEM to set your product purchase order cost for the upcoming period

  • Manage purchase price variance claims resulting from engineering changes, component obsolescence or forecast variance

  • Drive the supply chain and operations team to provide detailed cost reduction forecast that enable you to meet and exceed your product goals

  • Work with the Lab126 Management team to ensure predictable, accurate forecasts for your products

  • Host weekly executive management cost reviews that deep dive through every aspect of your product cost

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

  • 5+ years experience in the business procurement organization of a consumer market segment company

  • Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners Master's degree preferred

  • Working knowledge of mobile technologies, products and tools preferable

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maximize internal resources

  • Experience leading and defining requirements and driving these across diverse organizations

Amazon Lab126 is seeking dedicated, analytical candidates with a proven track record of performance to be part of the Environmental Compliance team. Amazon Lab126 develop a diverse products and each with level of compliance requirements. The Environmental Compliance Program Manager is responsible for ensuring Amazon products are fully compliant with all relevant global environmental regulations and laws. The Role: Ideal candidate will work with development and sustaining teams to ensure our products are in compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory and certifications requirements. Environmental Compliance Program Manager (EC-PM) responsibilities span the entire life cycle of the product from new product reviews, regulatory filings, label reviews, maintaining policies and procedures to responding to inquiries from regulators and customers. * Monitor and analyze the developing trends and changes in regulatory compliance laws, rules and regulations. * Establish and maintain an effective product compliance program to prevent and/or resolve product impacts/delays to the customer while minimizing business risk to organization. * Maintain Environmental Compliance policies and procedures. * Ensure that Environmental Compliance timelines align with product plans. * Serve as the technical expert, providing support and advice to all functional teams with respect to product compliance. * Ability to work/communicate effectively with legal counsel, engineers, technical specialists, and management, cross functionally, in a multi-disciplinary, global environment; Comfortable interacting with regulators, outside agencies, industry trade groups/associations, and customers, as required. * Experience implementing robust environmental controls, training and policies to ensure full compliance throughout a large, geographically diverse organization. * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineer, Environmental Engineer or equivalent engineering or environmental science discipline. * Minimum of 7 years of experience in Environmental Compliance, preferably in hardware or consumer electronics. * Exceptional knowledge of global Environmental Compliance Directives, Regulations and Standards including: EU RoHS, Packaging, Battery, WEEE and REACH Directives, Prop 65 and Conflict Minerals. * Experience communicating with and presenting to senior leadership. * Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with suppliers. * Experience analyzing compliance data to verify accuracy. * Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills; exercises sound judgement in applying these skills. * Strong collaborative, organizational and project management skills. * Excellent written/verbal/communication and presentation skills. * This person must also appreciate the legal, compliance, and financial context of their work and display appropriate sensitivity to the confidential nature of the work.
