The Principal Consultant, Marketing Planning and Strategy will provide Office Depot's Marketing Department with complex analysis, insights and recommendations in all aspects of the business to help Officers and Sr. Officers make optimal decisions. This position must exhibit analytical rigor on a wide variety of strategy and planning initiatives that span the Department or Company and with employees ranging from mid- to executive level management. The role is expected to coordinate and collaborate with other key Marketing analysis groups including Marketing Planning, Business Intelligence, Testing, and Predictive Modeling. The Principal Consultant, operating mostly independently, must drive integrated solutions to business issues and influence and maintain credibility at all levels of the Company.
Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience
Demonstrated ability to frame and deliver clear, data-driven alternatives for executive-level decision-making
Ability to interface with other corporate functions including
E-commerce, Finance, and Information Technology
Deep knowledge of corporate finance, financial planning, analysis, reporting, and metadata
Ability to re-engineer complex cross-organizational processes and define the roles and responsibilities necessary to carry them out
Ability to derive accurate performance management systems to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of Marketing initiatives
Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), Visio, Project; statistical software (e.g., Crystal Ball, MATLAB, SSPS, SAS etc.)
The Sr. Marketing Manager, BSD is responsible for developing and executing a blended approach to a marketing plan providing value and enabling strategic partnerships for the company's top customers to include public and private sector. Develops strategic account-based marketing plan and execution to deepen customer relationships with decision makers and top influencers. Manages Corporate Alliance partnerships with top customers by executing mutually beneficial campaigns. Provide sales tools to secure high-level (CFO, VP of Finance) meetings with prospective accounts as part of an acquisition growth strategy for all segments and verticals. Develops and executes on demand campaigns to help close sales gaps by utilizing various marketing vehicles such as print, email, display advertising, events and sales collateral for 1:1 communication.
Develop Marketing planning, strategy and execution to include digital, print, customer events,
Manage Budget on a daily and monthly report out basis
Support the Field Sales force daily with on demand requests
Manage customer partnerships on a bi-weekly basis and campaigns that are mutually beneficial along with activation budget
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 10 year experience in related field
