Want to lead the engagement marketing and brand strategy for a brand new credit card within a thriving multi-billion dollar business? We are looking for a talented marketer to launch high-profile, cross-platform, marketing programs that are fundamental to the fast growth of a new type of credit card, which allows cardmembers to earn additional rewards just by shopping on Amazon. The Sr. Marketing Manager will champion programs from creative ideation to execution, drive customer engagement throughout the funnel, and launch customer experience improvement and new features that revolutionize how customers use card benefits.

This is high-impact role and the marketer will have opportunities to regularly present the program plan, results, and learning to leadership teams, and in addition, will support planning of large-scale events on Amazon.com. As a part of Amazon's Payment Products business, you will learn best practices in marketing, data analysis, marketing feature development, and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Create on-brand, best in class content, tailored to Prime and Non-Prime customers and cardmembers

  • Effectively build best-in-class marketing programs from end to end, which reach customers on Amazon, through bank channels, and across other offsite channels (e.g. Paid Search, Paid Social, Display)

  • Partner closely with Prime marketing team and Payments business development to deliver high visibility marketing for existing and new offers

  • Work closely with Amazon Payment and cross-team leadership on card objectives through monthly and quarterly planning process

  • Develop strategies to optimize campaigns, execute, and report out results

  • Analyze performance of site content and marketing channels, always seeking ways to improve

  • Coordinate a streamlined approval process (internal/external) with key financial and legal partners

  • Define on-going marketing roadmap for customer adoption and engagement

The successful candidate has demonstrated:

  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills (includes the ability to effectively use tools such as Excel) and an ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases.

  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

  • An ability to think strategically and execute methodically.

  • Superior verbal and written communications skills.

  • Plan, develop, and execute compelling customer acquisition or engagement programs

The Gift Card team's mission is to provide customers with delightful gifts that are thoughtful for the recipient and convenient for the giver and to provide payment instruments based on Amazon Balance to enable customers to access Amazon and manage their spend. The Consumer Gift Cards team is responsible for creating, enhancing, merchandising and marketing multiple products sold globally through the Amazon website. Our product line includes electronic gift cards, physical gift cards, branded gift cards (e.g. Starbucks and Whole Foods) and Stored Value products which help customers manage and add funds to their existing Amazon Gift Card balance. The Head of US/Canada Consumer Gift Card Marketing leads a team that owns marketing for all Consumer product lines and business management for two product lines. The Marketing team is responsible for driving traffic, new customers, and total issuance for eGift Cards, physical Gift Cards, and Reload products on Amazon's US and Canada sites. The team also owns marketing for the third-party Branded Gift Card business. The team is responsible for the gift card shopping and browse experience on desktop and mobile, all traffic channels to Gift Card pages (e.g. email, on and off-Amazon ad placements, search ads, associates, sponsored links, PR), as well as all go-to-market activities for new Consumer product/feature launches (e.g. Group Gifting, new delivery methods like SMS). In addition to leading the Marketing team, this leader owns the P&Ls for two major channels within our Consumer Gift Card business: electronic gift cards and Amazon Reload. Scope of responsibility includes financial reporting/planning (P&L ownership, OP1 and OP2 planning, MBRs, QBRs) and product development (in collaboration with our Design team). The electronic Gift Card is the team's flagship gifting product and Amazon Reload is a fast-growing self-use product. Both offerings provide extensive opportunity for this leader to collaborate with and influence product roadmap, engineering prioritization, finance, BI, and visual and user experience design. The scope of this role requires this leader to be a full product marketing owner and deliver best-in-class customer on-site experiences and demand generation activities in partnership with global marketing, business and tech stakeholders within Amazon Payments Products and across Amazon (e.g., Wedding & Baby Registries, Gateway, Global Nav, Prime Now, Canada Retail). This leader has five direct reports and manages a multi-million dollar marketing budget. The leader is part of a worldwide community of marketing and business leaders in Amazon Payment Products and is responsible for influencing across regions to maintain a unified Gift Cards brand and for maintaining and evolving a global Gift Cards marketing toolkit. Key responsibilities: * Manage the full lifecycle of complex product marketing initiatives for which you define the strategy and measurement, including for launches of new offerings. * Develop, execute and steward product marketing initiatives with clear objectives, priorities, measurement and deliverables, including incentivized and organic customer acquisition and retention initiatives and multi-channel campaigns for key events including Moms, Dads & Grads, Prime Day, and Holiday. * Measure ROI of campaigns within thresholds as aligned with APP leadership; regularly review and make recommendations on evolving ROI guardrails in alignment with business objectives for top line, bottom line and new customer growth. * Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for Consumer Gift Cards- i.e. targeting, go-to-market plans, positioning, promotions, and/or launch strategies.
