YOU CAN DO THESE THINGS

  • Collaborate with production and order fulfillment team members to support process improvements and advise on best practices

  • Evaluate design and validate processes, production and packaging equipment as needed to improve plant quality, efficiency and output to ensure Double Good's ability to grow exponentially

  • Prepare capital project requests and serve as project leader to complete approved projects

  • Lead and direct the installation of equipment and/or processes; maintain records and documentation of equipment/product trials and specifications over time.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with outside vendors, ensuring that services are rendered in a timely and thorough manner.

  • Communicate regularly with members of other departments, offering clear information, feedback, and openness to collaborative problem-solving.

  • Partner with leadership to cultivate the vision, operating principles, and strategy as a key member of the Double Good Popcorn Vision Team

YOU'RE GOOD AT AND ENJOY

  • Prioritizing tasks and working independently on projects through completion

  • Visualizing long-term process and facility design for hyper-growth

  • Inspiring excellence through ongoing improvement and automation

  • Teaching others the skills necessary to see their ideas through

  • Deploying Lean Manufacturing principles

  • Building relationships internally and externally

  • Adapting and having a tolerance for ambiguity

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • BS degree in engineering

  • At least 7 years of engineering with manufacturing and packaging experience in food industry

  • Experience managing contractors and engineers on capital projects

  • Proven experience working through hyper growth

  • Proven record of principles from "The Goal" by Eliyahu M. Goldratt

  • Six Sigma Black Belt

As the Director of Engineering, you will * Oversee and manage all aspects of facilities management to ensure the safety and security of guests and associates and protect the asset for investors and owners. Use your extensive experience and knowledge to develop and manage the division's budget and capital expenditure plan. Manage the renovation bidding process and contractor oversight to ensure quality work at minimal cost, consistent with maintaining optimal operations and meeting management expectations. * Do what it takes to maintain a safe guest and work environment and protect the asset. Develop and direct emergency programs; ensure equipment is well maintained and maintenance contracts are expertly negotiated and valid; and, conduct inspections and drills.
