Purpose:

The Supply Chain Manager is a member of the Operations Planning team who is directly responsible for overseeing the AMAG virtual supply network. This role requires a combination of analytical and detail oriented project tracking, as well as leadership and coordination across a variety of internal partners and external CDMO functions.

Specific responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Clinical and Commercial teams to translate demand forecast into supply plans.

  • Lead and coordinate all aspects of the end-to-end supply, including conducting supply team meetings, managing team activities via agendas and minutes, and managing competing objectives and resources. Ensure strong functional and operations alignment.

  • Foster effective teamwork and drive plan execution. Proactively track critical path activities, anticipate risks, create contingency plans. Ensure uninterrupted production and on-time delivery.

  • Manage CDMO forecast communications. Generate PO's for MFG related activities. Track financial adherence to budget and communicate expected gaps.

  • Provide timely visibility of schedule and material status across the supply chain. Effectively communicate activities and timing needed to maintain supply. Inform key stakeholders of status, issues, problems, and proposed solutions.

  • Check data integrity, analyze information and reports to support recommendations to achieve commercial demand requirements.

  • Own and manage master data in the Oracle Cloud ERP system. Perform timely transactions to ensure system inventory is up to date

  • Develop SOPs, policies, and techniques in support of supply chain compliance

  • Develop reports on demand (inventory, production, and/or distribution plans) for programs or product types from various systems like Oracle, Supplier databases, and other planning systems.

  • Perform weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) analysis, inventory reconciliation, MFG, and other standard supply chain reporting.

  • Support continuous improvement projects to drive expanded capabilities and improve the efficiency of existing processes.

Required Skills:

Solid understanding of Clinical, Commercial, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Planning and Procurement.

Experience coordinating and leading teams. Ability to set, create and support project plans involving cross-functional teams.

Exceptional organizational skills are required to effectively balance a broad range of projects and tasks in parallel.

Communication

  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with ability to facilitate/articulate recommendations to management. Ability to clearly communicate

plans with no ambiguity regarding task timing and result expectations.

Analytical/Problem Solving

  • Strong quantitative/problem solving skills are a core requirement of this job, including experience developing complex spreadsheets. Demonstrated capability to quickly learn new software and systems. Must be able to convert detailed data into broad scenarios while clearly identifying assumptions and decision points.

Technical

  • Should be familiar with operations analysis and comfortable evaluating and communicating alternatives based on underlying economic/accounting drivers.

Experience with Oracle ERP system. Working knowledge of MFG operations desired.

Bachelor's degree required with 5-8 years' relevant experience

Entasis' targeted-design platform has produced a pipeline of product candidates, including durlobactam (targeting A. baumannii infections) being initiated for Phase 3 clinical trials, zoliflodacin (targeting Neisseria gonorrhoeae) being initiated for Phase 3 clinical trials, and ETX0282CPDP (targeting Enterobacteriaceae infections). Entasis is also using its platform to develop a novel class of antibiotics, non-β-lactam inhibitors of the penicillin-binding proteins (NBPs) (targeting Gram-negative infections). Position Description: The Senior Director of Commercial Supply Chain will build the supply chain function and help lead the company into its next stage toward commercialization of our products. Reporting into the Vice President of CMC, this individual will oversee all aspects of commercial launch supply to ensure reliable, compliant, cost effective, and on-time supply of product. Candidates should have expertise in commercial supply chain operations and practices, be forward-thinking, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail with ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Include: * Provide strategic and operational leadership with respect to Entasis' global commercial supply chain function and disciplines including planning, sourcing, labeling, packaging, inventory management, and distribution * Prepare for commercial launch. Work with functions to build new infrastructure to support commercialization efforts * Establish policies, processes, procedures, and systems (technology) to support product launch and scalable commercialization efforts * Sourcing and selection of commercial packaging suppliers, third-party logistics (3PL) vendors, and data management host providers. Contracting, setup, and management of these service providers * Be a key interface to the commercial organization * Contribute to contract negotiation of commercial supply agreements with strategic manufacturing, packaging and distribution partners * Work cross-functionally to establish and oversee Entasis' commercial sales and operations planning process (S&OP) * Install and optimize best-in-class supplier relationship management practices with Entasis' partners and service-providers of its commercial products * Manage the negotiation of contracts broadly across the supply chain with established suppliers, distributors, vendors, and customers. Ownership of the contract deliverables and obligations * Establishment of processes, systems and vendors to support compliance with the DSCSA and product serialization * Ensure consistent, reliable, and compliant supply of commercial products in accordance with the forecast and inventory requirements, the planning assumptions, and supply budget * Establish excellent working relationships with Technical Operations, Quality, Commercial Operations, and Finance functions and forge integrated ways of working to efficiently manage and report on the flow of product, information, and cash Candidate Requirements: * Advanced degree in Science, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related fields * APICS certification preferred: CSCP and/or CPIM * Minimum 15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience * Minimum 10 years of global commercial supply chain experience and leadership * Experience managing supply chains across a broad range of drug product types * Demonstrated success having built a supply chain function in support of a fast-growing company * Demonstrated success installing new capabilities and infrastructure in support of the company's first product launch and overall commercialization efforts * Successful new product introduction/launch experience * Experience building, coaching, and developing teams of supply chain professionals * Strong Leadership skills.
