The Opportunity

The Storage Business Group is seeking an experienced product line senior manager/director to join our SSD Controller Marketing team. The role requires strong collaboration with design engineering, application engineering, sales/FAEs, program management, business operations, and finance.

The individual will be responsible for managing and growing our SSD controller customer specific standard products (CSSPs) and custom ASIC product lines. The successful candidate will be our quarterback to develop win-win RFI/RFQ responses for current and key target customers while developing the strategy and business plan for long-term sustainable growth.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead all CSSP & custom ASIC product business planning activities: market/technology trends, market sizing (TAM, SAM, SOM), key customers to win, competitive analysis, product positioning and pricing.

  • Define compelling IP and foundry process roadmap with clear value propositions that are validated and endorsed by leading target customers.

  • Lead all CSSP and custom ASIC RFI/RFQ activities to ensure sales, engineering and cross-functional teams are all in-sync to execute what is needed to win key designs.

  • Drive entire product life-cycle from cradle to grave.

  • Develop product strategies with sales and cross-functional teams that yield design wins at targeted customer accounts.

  • Manage key ecosystem and technology alliances for product success.

  • Partner with sales to develop key customer account plans that cover key programs, supply chain partners, decision making tree, organization structure/contacts, and technology roadmap plans.

  • Sales & FAE training on market and ASIC capabilities.

  • Create CSSP & ASIC promotion collateral to create industry & market awareness on Marvell web site and associated digital marketing and social media activities.

Education & Experience Necessary for Success

  • B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related) required, MSEE and/or MBA preferred.

  • 7+ years of relevant semiconductor experience with solid understanding of custom ASICs and SSD/NAND technology/market dynamics.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • "Can-do" self-starter with strong cross-functional leadership and teamwork skills.

  • Strategic analytic mind who has had success in winning custom ASICs in past.

  • Demonstrated product life-cycle management across whole semiconductor product NPI process.

  • Strong understanding of SSD/NAND market landscape and eco-system.

  • Robust TAM/SAM/SOM market modeling analysis experience.

  • Prior semiconductor or storage device (ie SSD or HDD) product life-cycle experience with SSD/HDD customers.

  • Product pricing and revenue forecasting experience.
