Job Title: Sr Manager-Development and Integrations

Job Location: Hershey, PA

Summary:

The Sr. Manager will lead, develop, implement and maintain the governance model for Development in SAP along with Integration Technologies. They will be accountable to ensure optimal use of the technology providing solid quality and capabilities that meet the needs and expectations of The Hershey Company's business clients globally.

The Sr. Manager is a key leader in the decision-making process around Strategic planning and assessment and deployment of technology, to help the businesses achieve and maintain its competitive market advantage. They should provide the blueprint and framework necessary for a consistent approach in delivering business capabilities through governance modeling of development and integration technology.

The Sr. Manager will act as a thought leader within the IS community on topics central to our business client community, push for best practices and constantly challenge the team to deliver cost effective and innovative solutions that address the technology needs ensuring they are directly tied to business strategy.

The Sr. Manager meets scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner and has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices, techniques and key performance indicators for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing client infrastructure projects and programs.

The candidate will possess excellent leadership/management skills, have a proven track record on delivering results, and have exceptional team skills both in leading and participating.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

Technology Management

  • Responsible for SAP Factory, Integration Architecture and Governance for systems and software. Ensures people and processes are structured to deliver high quality solutions and services.

People Leadership

  • Lead and manage team of Technical Experts and Analysts in addition to Managers.

Service Vendor Management

  • Maintain relationships with Service providers to assess the evolution of skill sets and focus areas of our partners in an agile delivery model.

Customer relationship management

  • Serve as a point of contact for IS and Business Partners. Understand customer concerns, requirements and priorities to improve the level of solution delivery and support.

Financial Management/Planning

  • Contribute to development of annual budgets, capital plans and system development plans. Monitor performance against commitments. Track actuals against Plan.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

  • Must organize team effectively on an ongoing basis to adjust to changing business priorities, strategic initiatives.

  • Directs service providers to ensure delivery objectives are met and jointly develops and facilitates the implementation of specific roadmaps and improvement capabilities. Governs the delivery and deployment of the relevant services provided by external partners ensuring that all deliverables are aligned with global, regional and local business strategies and needs.

  • Working with the IS Service Delivery and other functions, the individual must be able to align future needs and demands with the service provider and the IS and business organization.

  • Must have the ability for the creation and management of a strategy to deploy and maintain SAP and Integration elements in line with the changes in operating environments. The result would be to ensure the business is supported in achieving competitive advantage through the most relevant technology components.

  • Must demonstrate ability to lead technical resources in areas of client infrastructure and application expertise, including Design Reviews and Architecture Reviews.

  • Must have very strong communication skills to work with internal customers and become a trusted advisor.

  • Must demonstrate ability to interact with other Hershey technical teams, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, plan for dependencies, mitigate security risks and deliver solutions that require a high degree of integration.

  • Must understand the roadmap of cloud solutions and offerings, where they will play and add value to the Hershey experience, and what tradeoffs need to be made to take advantage of real value propositions.

Minimum Education and Experience

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Experience:

  • Extensive practical experience (10+ years) of technology management and systems / organization development with abilities to make challenging decisions on global strategies, systems and technology.

  • Demonstrated ability to have strong systems aptitude, project management and planning skills; Ability to balance strategic with tactical execution skills. In depth knowledge of project management, systems development and implementation processes continuously managing interrelation between quality, service and cost.

  • Proven interpersonal skills: two-way communications skills (oral and written), ability to build relationships, influence others, work with a diverse internal customer base. Excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding ability to develop team spirit and business drive at all levels in the organization across geographies, cultures and languages.

  • Organizational change agent with ability to see beyond current situation and to create a strategy, vision and road map to advance IS. Overall systems and business process knowledge, and clear understanding of current and emerging technologies across a diverse range of platforms.

  • Ability to handle a strong degree of ambiguity and develop strategies and concepts for the company on global, regional as well as local level.
