Position Title: Sr. Manager, Technical SEO
Reports To: Director, Digital Experience
Office Location: Hoboken, NJ
The Sr. Manager of Technical SEO role is responsible for the cross-functional SEO strategies & execution supporting our branded websites. This role is crucial to assuring our digital technology platform is built with SEO best practices in mind, while also ensuring cross-functional partners are provided with best-in-class guidance across copy, digital marketing, user experience & design. This role will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to measure the impact of strategies and tactics, as well as report out on metrics and results.
We are seeking a candidate that has the right mix of passion for SEO and technical aptitude to drive optimization across development, design & digital marketing.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies, in partnership with agency, across our 40 brand sites in the US
Audit website and recommend best practice solutions
Monitor and analyze performance KPIs (click rates, visits, bounce rate, conversion rate, time on site)
Conduct regular keyword research to guide content & copy teams
Identify technical SEO issues and recommend fixes via product & development teams
Provide go-forward SEO input in discovery & architecture sessions
Provide site structure recommendations (architecture, navigation, design)
Direct off-page optimizations (e.g. link-building), in partnership with digital marketing & brand teams
Develop monthly performance reports, utilizing web analytics and SEO tool inputs
Provide competitive and market opportunity analysis
Provide audits & recommendations around site redirects
Engage in cross channel team collaboration (development, product, digital marketing, social, brand)
Incorporate & implement the latest in ADA compliance requirements related to SEO
Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO and digital marketing trends & best practices
Experience in managing agency relationships, including scope & deliverables
Effectively communicate to stakeholders the opportunity for website changes, updates, and content revisions
Qualifications
5+ years experience successfully driving SEO
Knowledge of current SEO best practices
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Familiarity with relevant SEO and Web Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational, time management and leadership skills
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
Experience working with and managing SCRUM based development teams
Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud preferred
Comfortable working with business, Technology, and marketing stakeholders
Professional attitude and service orientation; team player
Analytical approach to decision making to achieve real-time performance optimization
