We are currently seeking an Interiors Senior Supplier Industrialization Manager to lead our Interiors SIE Team in California, USA. Our Supplier Industrialization team enables the industrialization of innovative products in an extremely aggressive timeline. In this highly visible role, the Senior SIE Manager recruits, develops, mentors, and leads a team of Supplier Industrialization Engineers and Leaders who are responsible for assuring the highest quality standards for our products. This person is the key internal interface with Production, Manufacturing, Logistics, Material Planning and Supply Chain, and our suppliers to develop ways to industrialize challenging designs while at the same time not sacrificing requirements for quality. You must be able to guide up front design development as well as roll up your sleeves with suppliers to create new manufacturing methods and control strategies when necessary to achieve ambitious specifications and ensure a flawless execution during launch. Candidates must have strong experience managing global suppliers, be able to direct supplier activities at the management level and have the capacity to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing, and sometimes unpredictable environment.

You Will:

  • Have total ownership of development of supplier Industrialization activities at Lucid Motors.

  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a team of Supplier Industrialization Engineers and Leaders that will industrialize parts and processes at Lucid.

  • Establish and manage priorities and project assignments for all team members including their 1:1 and 365 performance management and annual reviews.

  • Cultivate strong partnerships with local suppliers, ensuring their understanding of and commitment to meeting our rigorous quality expectations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Engineering, Plant Manufacturing, Plant Quality, NPI, Logistics, Supply Chain, to ensure a proper industrialization of parts at suppliers.

  • Perform supplier audits and on-site inspections. Develop process improvement plans and drive implementation. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance for both Advance and Sustaining activities.

  • Lead daily, weekly leadership and departmental meetings to track progress, monitor KPIs-OKRs and drive actions for compliance and ongoing improvements.

  • Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting supplier quality performance, KPIs-OKRs, risks, and strategies for improvement.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact supplier quality.

  • Have ability to travel 25-75% on average on a short term or long-term basis to Lucid Motors and supplier sites globally on a short notice.

You Bring:

  • 12 years of experience in an Automotive Interiors such as: Door Trim, Hard Trim, Soft Trim, Center Consoles, IP, Seats, Safety& restrains.

  • At least 5 years of experience as a team leader preferred.

  • Team development and demonstrated leadership in quality or manufacturing organizations.

  • Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilities.

  • Hands-on supplier industrialization, supplier quality toolbox (ISO, IATF, DFM, GD&T) and automotive core pillars (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA) experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings and in-depth knowledge of quality standards and specifications in the area of placement

  • Certification preferred - Project Management, Lead Auditor, American Society for Quality, Six Sigma Black Belt, etc.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, hands-on and data-driven, creative mindset in problem-solving

  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, be part of the solution and be able to adapt to the dynamic working environment.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Smartsheet, JMP, Minitab, JIRA and Tableau is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.

  • Postgraduate in Business Management a plus.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$150,500-$220,770 USD
